No cloth dropping for tailor

My tailor is a 72 and not gotten any cloth drops at all. Is there something I need to do? Is it only from humonoid?

Because of 2x4’s they nerfed most humanoid mobs loot tables into the ground. You probably unfortunately need to spec into cloth drops in order to get them.

I’m not sure it’s worth it though. You would probably be better off making Gold in some other way and theb buying them off of the AH.

yeah my miners get 2 to 3 times as much from web mines than my fully KP tailor…its just sad.

Fully spec’d into cloth drops seems to not work at all. My miners get many times per hour cloth from webbed nodes than my fully spec’d tailor

even with spec, it doesn’t actually help much.

Droprate of cloth, even fully specced, is abysmally low. The full spec DOES help - I party with another tailor with fewer points specced in and I get noticably more, but its still abysmal.

oh people have been mentioning - there’ve been other threads about this. Its been that way for about a week now. I got one dawnweave cloth yesterday, but that’s the only one I’ve seen for most of a week.

I’ve had the best luck running Heroic dungeons for cloth. I get like 12 pieces each run; it is not the best, but I suppose it could be worse. Tailoring feels like it got the short end of the stick this expac when it comes to reagent drops

It was very abundant at the very start. It’s been steadily nerfed due to 2 x 4 farms. Every time a new one pops up Blizzard either nerfs the mobs loot table or kills the hyperspawn.

It wasn’t nerfed for 2x4 it was buffed for 2x4.
They now have the exclusive rights to dawn weave and duskweave while regular players havent a chance to ever see one drop.

It’s the biggest buff 2x4 has ever received. Also there is no evidence that is why the drop chance was reduced.

I can get 10 to 20 in an hour on my miner, so…

Regular cloth is fairly easy to get. It’s Dawnweave and Duskweave that have seemingly disappeared.

Nah. You can’t. We’re not talking about regular common weavercloth.

wrong type of cloth, regular cloth isn’t CHEAP but its reasonably priced because its still dropping at an okay rate - especially in dungeons and delves. Lower than previously, but high enough that it feels reasonable compared to other crafting goods.

What is not dropping virtually at all, and has spiralled to several hundred per individual thread, is dawnweave and duskweave - the special drop cloth that is used to make our best items. The droprate’s been cut to the point where you can farm for hours and maybe see 1-2 cloth. And THAT is the issue people are having.

Seems it literally just got hotfixed. Still not as common as during early access but dusk/dawnweave are dropping more regularly again, including follower dungeons.
A full clear run of Priory:
-20 duskweave
-18 dawnweave

which is still low but better compared to the crap 2-3 cloths you’d get from a full run

Definitely been fixed, finally getting cloth again.

I will concur, has been dropping again thankfully. Kobolds on the other hand do not like to drop cloth  lil buggers

The tailors who are getting cloth are lucky, because my tailor might get one cloth for every hundred mobs he kills. Since launch he has only collected a little over 100 cloth.

My miner on the other hand, has collected thousands of cloth from ore nodes!

Blizzard needs to fix this mess. Someone who is mining should NEVER gather more cloth than a tailor!!!

I have no proof of this, but it seems to be directly tied to how much damage you do to the mobs. In open world, I get cloth and bolts to drop regularly, if not faster than follower dungeons.

I have tailoring and engineering and I have been really surprised at the amount of profession mats I’m getting for both in delves and follower dungeons. Same on my character with inscriptions. Lots of dark cards. But I am getting nothing on my characters with herbalism and alchemy.

It went from absurdly high during EA to absurdly low now. Thankfully I levelled my tailor during EA and am sitting on over a full stack of bolts. Tier 1 bolts, sure, but enough to carry me for some time.
