Blizzard's silence or lack of blue post acknowledgement is a clear sign that we should not expect changes to shadow priest in the upcoming patch. If they did, they would have been proud to say or mention it. They probably don't read the priest forums at all, however, the good news is we may have a chance to be fixed next expansion.
Meanwhile, suck it up and live with poor dps and get rejected from mythic raids and M+ runs or reroll to be a rogue.
Blizzard probably be thinking...buffing priest dps now is too complicated and why not just keep silent? Silence always works.
Btw priest damage is not okay, it's horrible. Extremely horrible. Don't comfort yourselves with that Blizzard.

Meh, I plan on sitting out this expansion. Not going to bash it, but I'm just not having fun. It seems like Blizzard has distanced themselves from the playerbase, ignoring feedback and implementing lackluster content.

Feels exactly like 7.2.5, where everyone sat around hoping theyd do something and got a big fat silence on a 1500 reply post about shadows problems. I switched to warlock then, i guess he'll be my main in bfa. Sad too, since I've mained shadow from Gruul's Lair to Nighthold. They will never fix shadow because if its good they will lose a whole bunch of healers. Thats my theory anyway.
It's a shame I'm so emotionally attached to this character. I want to enjoy shadow but it's really tough. Not because of my damage or anything. I understand that the damage is bad and that we're expecting some changes. It's hard because it affects my group experience. It really suck constantly being rejected while searching for a mythic group. I signed up for about 40ish groups last night and managed to get just 1 invite. Even then, I was at the bottom of the meters and felt like I was a burden to the group. Thankfully I have some alts to fall back on in case 8.1 doesn't do much for priests.
Hate to say I called it but... this is par for the course and is a big part of why I finally dropped my priest this expansion.
I think we'll just get some talent readjustments in 8.1 and that's probably it.
IMO, Shadow will probably get turned back into the old non-void shadow eventually and a void themed class will get released at a void expansion.

Just some talent shuffling and some number tuning most likely. The chances of a full blown rework are highly unlikely.

All Shadow Priests and Priests in general who play shadow even if only occasionally, should be visiting this post, contributing, and bumping it for the blues to see. Shadow is the ONLY weak spec that currently has not gotten a Blue response in any form, and has no thread with a blue response in the BFA class balance forum.

Honestly I dont know why I keep playing my shadow priest..... ever since the start of legion I have hoped and prayed for something to be done to shadow but well...
(Atleaste in emerald nightmare shadow had a job and that was execute with high risk with very high reward.)
But there has been nothing from blizz this whole expansion outside priest feels like it was unfinished and not ready for release....
That and they gutted every spec into the ground to the point the only 2 specs that feel any different from the others is shadow and demo warlock everything else is the exact same thing...

It’s a Shame .. I was really looking forward to seeing how Blizz made us competitive.. PVP wise we are paper unless we spec into edge and by doing so negates the staple of our damage .. If you are scared to buff Spriest give us Either Void Torrent or SW:Death as base line and put Power Infusion back in our Talent Tree

its cause they want priests to be healers, so they are crapping on shadow priests hoping more S.priests will change to healer spec

I'v all but benched my priest. No reason for me to play her anymore. Shadow is terrible. Don't like disc. Holy was fun until i played mistweaver now I think holy is boring.

3 playthoughs as malk before I finally tried another clan. Went Ventrue because I like dominate mind, was more fun than I anticipated. Currently doing a Tremer run then I plan on doing Nosferatu.
I kinda like this game.
Hell, I would be happy with just number tuning. Buff the damage of a few things, bake in a little more haste or lower cast times and make VT instant. I'm happy. For real tho. Devs??????????

I'm leveling an alt, finally, but I've lost all interest in playing my priest and by correlation endgame. Maybe playing another class will change that (once I'm 120) but I just can't see myself going through the grind again to try to get ready for M Uldir and if I don't no decent guild will want me for 8.1. raiding anyway. Chances are I'll just quit.
