I’m noticing a lot of groups asking for AOTC only. I didn’t play the first season, but did get AOT. BOTH 2nd and 3rd. Are those of us who missed a season just screwed as pugs on the weeks we don’t have AOTC to show?
Until you clear the raid on Awakened.
Not necessarily. There are a few “helper” Discords that try to co-ordinate stuff like this.
The groups asking for AOTC are farm pugs. You’re not screwed, just need to find a group of people who are also progressing when that’s what you’re doing.
Find a guild/community
Start your own group
Find a progression group who doesn’t require AOTC
AOTC groups don’t want to teach people, they want to get in with people who know fights already. And you can’t expect them to invite anyone who they feel might not do mechanics and/or cause wipes. And that’s their right.
Basically this.
This is a big issue with the new MO blizz has for end of expansion “content”. By rehashing the same raids over again, by it’s very nature, you’re gonna be skewing the playerbase to people who already have done the content previously. Which means those people are naturally gonna be a lot less tolerant/accepting of newbies.
It’s actually a serious issue and it is one that I don’t think blizz has adequately recognised.
That’s the thing with pugging. Leaders will set the requirement as high as they can get away with and still fill the group.
pretty much yes, people in this community have a case of FoF so severe its a borderline phobia.
except they said they have aotc from previous ‘seasons’ meaning they do know most of the fights. unless you are seriously insinuating that Blizzard put in the design hours to completely redesign every single fight for every Dragonflight raid explicitly for “season 4”.
Start and lead your own group you’ll get accepted 100% of the time tbh
