No answer in warrior forums

Sorry to bother ya all with a class question, but i’m new to warrior (not this character im posing on obviously) and my experience in dungeons has left me a bit puzzled.

I see some fury warriors just spam AOE on mobs (not bosses) and that’s all they do,
I see others focus down one mob at a time with harder hitting solo target dps,

which is the best way? thanks

what kind of dungeon we talking?
leveling? heroics? mythics? M+?

generally unless one of the mobs is particularly dangerous, go with aoe since it will kill the entire group faster.

No fury is single target spec in M+

For Fury, the difference between ST and AoE is hitting a Whirlwind every few abilities to cause their ST abilities to cleave.

Most are probably using AoE talents in dungeons because dungeons spend more time on AoEing trash than ST on bosses.

If you do the math on the damage you do. Aoe does more damage points at certain points of monsters around your target. So it makes more sense to use your aoe abilities. Fury warriors also have a cleave a abilitiy so it replicates damage on 4-5 targets after you use whirlwind depending on how you talent. So you do a bunch of aoe damage doing your single target rotation mixing in whirlwinds.

I’m noob on my warrior so my rule is cleave the rampage or it doesn’t count. Positioning, positioning, positioning. And cleave the mobs, the more, the better. The REAL boss is the damage meter.

on MTs i just ravager, thunderous roar, whirlwind spam, throw in a recklessness Cd yada yada, single target i start off with avatar, ravager, thunderous roar, cycle spin for rampage over and over and over, while continually hitting bloodthirst, raging blows, then when avatar is done i pop recklessness and and continue my rotation
