No addons = lower raid difficulty?

I think the first raid tier will feel super easy due to the purge and design change. I am hoping though that they can ramp things back up after we are all on the new baseline.

I wouldn’t mind this necessarily. The first raid tier is split into 3(?) different instances, so I could see one being more to get people used to doing encounters without the typical addons, then others being more in-line with current design difficulty.

Granted, I think the first raid tier of an expansion typically isn’t that bad complexity wise.

Gonna be hard to make things challenging when most people only have 3-4 buttons left to press with ability pruning, that combined with no addons, my dead grandma could do mythics now.

I was up for addon changes but than i saw they enable dps meter and they removed everything else, well safe to say this will be a disaster.

All of those things will remain. Although, and for the record, back when I raided pre-pandaria, we just did a lot of trial and error before meta-playing the game first because we liked to play the game.

No - anyone that can’t do mythic today thinking this change will make mythic so easy they will be able to do it without putting in the time and effort that would be required for them to be successful is delusional.

Most likely outcome is that Blizz never adjusts anything, and that raids just stay the way they are, including the “get this conditional movement and facing puzzle exactly right in the next 2 seconds, or you wipe” stuff.

The difficulty thing is an excuse to get rid of addons, that’s all. Once addons are largely dead, Blizz will forget about it and move on to something else.

YouTube is a safe website. WoWHead has a very bad, very checkered history.

I won’t be referring to those websites, except maybe youtube. I sure won’t be downloading crap from bills garage.
