Please do not make reputation account wide. This is an RPG and the character is the one getting the reputation.
It does not make sense to magically gain reputation from other characters you have created!

Honestly, account-wide rep should always been a thing. Make an account-wide system where your characters develop your own story. Like SWTOR’s legacy system.

Not that I have seen. Maybe OP is whining about a change that has never been announced premiptively, so if it ever is announced he / she will have been justified to whine about it earlier? Maybe they’re going for “I complained about this before it was cool”?

This should be mandatory. Reaching max rep on one character all other toons should have access to that vendor. I can wear nightborn tabard on lvl 1 toon that has nothing to do with them or never starts earning rep for that faction, and many other similar things.
Blizzard needs to step away from “character specific” system.

If you’re naive enough to stand here and say this, you gotta overlook A TON of issues that go against common RPG sense, such as the timegating in everything you do inside the game, being able to look for groups anywhere anytime, the ability you get to upgrade gear after you complete certain aspects, etc.
I really do hope this is low quality bait and I’m roasting it to the bone because this is lowkey more fun than the game itself outside of tuesdays right now.

Could create families for alts and each alt gets 75 percent rep. There’s ways to make it work.

Since the dev team has been listening to the players more I want to make sure they know there are those that are against account wide reputation.

Them making changes that people clamored for back in beta and also actually having a ripcord implemented in the first place meaning they knew there was an issue with system doesn’t mean they’re listening

In fact, nothing should be account-wide because the player is playing a character, not an account.
Things becoming account wide in MoP was one of the two major game reasons I quit the game back then.

okay, i agree, and disagree with you OP.
i agree because yeah, your character is the one getting the rep, so only they should really be recognized by these factions.
HOWEVER, these factions don’t really have any importance aside from x content your doing at the time, so it does’nt really matter, and account-wide rep would be more useful.
for instance, the shattered sun offensive, from tbc. my pandaren has max rep with them, and they recognize and cheer for him when he was there killing kael’thas again and again.
but we have’nt seen them do anything since tbc, so who does it hurt if my other characters can wear their tabard?
now, if the factions had more importance beyond whatever expansion they were in, yeah, i could see it, but since they don’t… it does’nt matter.
also, surprised you are’nt playing a human OP, with their 10% rep buff.

Better yet make it optional so if someone wants to suffer sure. If someone doesnt the. They dont have to. Rep tokens for TW exist should also exist for current reps.

In fact, I sort of agree with the OP and to assume they are trolling just because they post something you dont like is…well, inept…
To have a new character come up to the an NPC and be seen as exalted when they have never met that character before is weirdly illogical. Many things are account wide now and most of them are decent QoL changes. But there should still be some things in the game that players have to work for. Not everything should just be handed to us without some effort.

If there were only a few different reps, I’d agree with you. Since there are a ton of different reps, I’d love to see all of it accout wide.
