Not having flex raids to accommodate all raid styles isn’t something you’d expect from a Billion $ Company.
The lack of 40 man raids just shows how not-vanilla this game is.

What gave you the clue that this wasn’t Vanilla? I know there hasn’t been anything obvious like Warlocks and Rogues tanking, Mages healing, Paladins and Druids having multiple viable specs.
It’s almost like this is all some wild iteration of classic wow that we were meant to try new things with.

This isn’t vanilla it’s classic + so I’m not sure why you are so mad about 40 mans! You can hop on era (vanilla) if you don’t want changes

SoD is a classic variant, which is supposed to have a solid base in vanilla 
This means 40 man raids. It’s not too complicated, unless you are incapable of nuanced thinking and consider everything to be black or white, 1 or 0.
I do find it amusing that people somehow manage to get to 60 in SoD and still think it’s just supposed to be fresh vanilla servers.

Look, I would also love 40 player raids, but at this point I don’t think the population would accommodate them. They did the next best thing and allow up to 40 into a 20 player raid and up to 20 into a 10 player raid. Shoot, the amount of gear they give out per boss even with 20 players is roughly equivalent to the gear from 40 players in era, so you could roll 40 players and get the same experience.
well you got that right. but it’s because the population is retail players nothing to do with number of people
I mean, that might also be true. But it doesn’t really change the fact that 40 player raids would end this version. Right now it is holding steady and that’s something. We will see what Classic+ has to offer in a couple years, but 40 player raids definitely won’t work in this version.
People who want 40 man raids are the same people who never did anything outside of raid to facilitate 40 man raids happening.
And more often then not they are also people who didn’t pull their weight in raid itself.
There is no reason a sane person would want to return to 40 man raids.

you can take 40 to BWL, the same amount of gear drops as 40 man BWL on hard mode which should be cake with double the tuned players
