Year of the Ox and we missed the opportunity to have a Niuzao the Black Ox-like mount if you ask me.

I thought the same thing!!!

I’m nearing completion of Loremaster in Pandaria (omg, such a great expansion!), and ALL of those incredible Celestials would make for awesome mounts!

Then again, they are demi-gods of the world so maybe the devs specifically don’t want us riding around on them, lolol

True, as well as the Jade Dragon’s kid (Yue-lin, I think?).

But then again, those are their kids, not them themselves. :man_shrugging:

Yeah I wasn’t specifically saying Nizuao himself, but Nizuao-like. As we already have 2 celestial offspring as mounts. And Pets from the celestial tournament.

Yeah. I’m glad to have an ox mount at all, but I admit I was hoping for a miniature Niuzao for my monks to ride around on.

Why are you asking though? You clearly have to be at least a senior artist at Blizzard already with this amazing feat of artsmanshipsmithery.

That’s fair, I miss Pandaria I guess and didn’t look into the color scheme from a cultural lens.

I dunno about that, someone did a full 3D mockup of an absolutely adorable otter mount a few years ago and that’s still not in game, even though I’m pretty sure they literally provided the textures for it to Blizzard.

I was really hoping for the same with the ox mount. But I have to admit, I’m getting used to its creepy oversized head and it does look pretty traditional, which is good. Mount special is fun too. Hehe

I want a mini niuzao but I want it ingame since I dont pretend to buy mount, in that regard I’m happy/fine

I mean, the timewalking mount for Pandaria is literally a jade serpent that looks identical to Yu’lon and is named Yu’lei, Daughter of Jade.

I want a Niuzao mount too…but it would’ve been silly as a promotion mount/store mount. Better to make it an in game reward.
