This needs fixed. At 150 herbalism you get 1 to 4. It feels really bad to finally find a Nightshade and only get 1. The minimum needs to be upped to 2.
Looks like they made nodes give less herbs across the board though. You sure that’s not what they intended? Because that was my first thought
Perhaps it gives them a chance to add in some kind of herbing efficiency upgrade in a future patch

It’s not broke.
I was lucky too get 3x once and I’m maxed out.
The spawn is already low and nodes across the board besides Bastion has really iffy spawns.
Best place for Nightshade? The Maw, its the only herb found there. It helps being a stealth class and have either Vanish or Shadowmeld. Also look for Maw Crossbows, they can help take out mobs standing near or on top of Nightshade nodes as it does 30k damage.
I find a lot of nightshade in the maw, but pretty sure I get it in ardenweald too!
Ardenweald has fewer active farmers simply because Vigil’s Torch is the least valuable of all the herbs for alchemy. Nobody is going to waste their 5 min CD pot on Stamina, most tanks would use either Agi or Str pots over extra armor, and its mostly healer focused with Clarity pots for raiding.
So yeah, it’s probably most plentiful only because there is less competition in the area.
For serious content you’re right. Stamina isn’t too popular.
For world content I choose not to use my mastery haste or versatility food. I use stamina as a cheap alternative to having no buff at all. (I also am always flasked no matter what.)
It is still sought after.
But that’s not the argument - you’re right that could be the reason
