This is probably the worst event I have seen in the history of the game. 1 to 2 mobs spawning every few seconds with your player base desperately trying to get a tag. Most people are just mounted up waiting for the boss at the end. Oh, and sometimes that doesn’t even come, event just randomly stops.
Edit: Even after the fix, I still think this event is awful. Get your one champion piece per toon per week and get out. Save yourself from boredom.

It just feels really shoehorned in. Theater is at the least fun and unique. Shipping and Handling is fast paced, varied and frantic. Awakening The Machine…exists? I don’t do that one anymore since I got the mount.
This seems like a huge step down from at least Theater and S&H. And it takes the same time slot as Theater? No thanks.
It isn’t working correctly. On the PTR it gave mini-quests throughout the event, similar to the theater troupe.
Don’t worry, it’ll work properly by the time HVs are activated.

Their too busy with Season of Discovery. That is I believe the ultimate problem, because clearly it’s taking resources from the actual game now. I am getting close to the point where I’m ready to go back to FFXIV, even though I much prefer WoW. At the same time, lets face it. It is completely moronic on my part to be required to pay for a Sub to finance a version of the game that I do not play.
SoD needs to go or everything in it moved to the actual Retail game, IMMEDIATELY. Full stop no compromise.
The timing on it is my biggest gripe of all. That and how out of the way it is.
What about the Urge to Surge quest in Undermine that needs to reach the next reward threshold just so you can get credit for the quest?
This event is so whack. Makes no sense and doesn’t explain itself mechanic wise. Guess you have to be some ptr sweat to get it right. Shouldn’t have to rely on community guides and youtube to figure it out.
a really lazy smattering of little bugs that spawn far away from each other, nearly instantly die, and drop no loot leading to a completion bar that spawns no boss.

By far the worst event ever!! Blizzard is so incompetent it’s unreal these people still have their jobs
For one, the hourly even tis WAY TOO LONG. When you have other hourly events (like theater) too just really makes this absurd. At least in DF the events had offsets, so you could fly to one then the other, etc.
Honestly, in terms of world events, DF has been >>>>>> than TWW so far. The pacing, the structure, the timing offsets, the ability to actually get multiple ones done easily on alts, etc. Not to mention the actual volume of events:
DF - Soup, Siege, Time Rifts, Blooms, Researchers, the Fyrakk one, the archeology one in the last big patch, and then the different zonal weekly focus things like dreamsurge, etc.
TWW - Theater? Now Nightfall?
Everything is just. so. static. I dare say this, but the DF open world thrived, and TWW is, much like all of the cavern zones, boring. Sure there’s a lot of little quests to go do, but the actual events are simply gone.
the best is how most of the mobs die in 1-2 hits so people can’t even get a tag. i thought it might be a good way to finish getting chitin, but doing follower on the dungeon is still quicker
now, the legion pre-patch event that was similar but way better and fun

better or worse than siren isle’s ‘kill 50 mobs to fill up your progress bar, then go into the storm and kill another 50 mobs to fill a 2nd progress bar’?
Seems like waiting until this weekend to do this event is paying off. I hope every thing will be fixed by then.
