Go figure, I brag in Discord about being lucky and not seeing any Vault Day bugs for the first time in a year then I log in, try to do the Nightfall Event and run into a bug.
So, I arrived at the area at the top of the hour. Waited near where the map showed boss should spawn and killed mobs until I got 100 participation and all three chests. This was rather quick and I finished (casually) in 38 minutes. Really wanted to go to Undermine to finish my Surge Pricing quests but I hadn’t seen the boss or gotten credit for the Event quests so I stuck around. Hoping it would show at 45 after.
That didn’t happen so I waited more. I saw others also commenting in General Chat asking about the boss spawn and no one got answers. The new hour rolls around so I get in position for the boss, it has to spawn now right? I’ve waited a full hour and done everything else… But no. Still no boss spawn. THEN the event ends for me and everything goes away, even though the map says it’s supposed to be active.
So instead of doing a weekly quest that I know I could have gotten done in that hour I wasted an hour waiting for something to happen that never happened.

I flew by once before without checking my map for start time and did notice a Sureki Champion Corpse.
So it is starting at minimum occasionally, but that’s not acceptable when this game is designed around chasing the new, shiny end game content
For me, it’s individual credit until I get to the 100% bar when the attack is happening. Then I just sit around at the quest marker until the top of the hour, event completes, I got a thing to turn in and that was it. No boss, no scenario, nothing fun at all. Just grindy things for transmog and
rep.
Doomhammer server, the event is stuck on Sureki Champion Slain. I’ve been here for a good 15 minutes and everyone is standing around killing trash mobs waiting.

I’m stuck on that one too on Argent Dawn. I really hope it’s fixed with the restarts tomorrow, but I’m not holding my breath.
The event will start, you just can’t get credit for killing the boss.

Happened again today.
This is a daily activity but they refuse to fix it and get it right? I know they had tons of problems yesterday. Small indie company what can we say, they don’t have the money or bodies to handle more than 1 problem at a time.
But, honestly, F this whole event. I’m not wasting another second of my time flying to a zone I hate to help a faction I hate and not get any rewards for it. I honestly hope the Arathi drown in the void before this is over anyway
