Taurens are nice. They remind me of cows. I like cows.
Imagine thinking that was a good thing.
The idea as it was originally shown had potential but then the execution of it in Shadowlands was abysmal…
Elune claims to be giving a ‘choice’ between vengeance or renewal. Except there was no real choice: she withdrew her powers and stopped Tyrande from getting justice by killing Sylvanas.
So the Night Warrior powers were retconned as literally worse than useless. They actively destroy the person who uses them and they don’t even work since the goddess granting the power can just cop out and withdraw it when you try to use it for what it was originally for.
The current storyline with the new tree is a decent bit of renewal, sure, but there was no choice truly given and there was no reason the renewal couldn’t have come after killing Sylvanas and getting justice for all those she massacred.
One thing the OP didn’t mention is how tauren have the absolute worst leader. He’s like the spineless version of Gallywix. He only cares for himself.
Hard disagree!
He cares for Anduin! xD
If the point comes, where all races will be neutral and available for both factions and race division will be a thing of the past… I really hope, that he will join the Alliance and a new Tauren will step up and replace him.
The main difference is that Night Elf players seem to chose that race more for roleplay reasons than Tauren players.
I mean, look at the amount of Tauren toons with a pun for cow in their names.
No way, I love Tauren. I’d love to see them chilling with my fellow druids. I just wish females had more faces. Don’t they still have just four? That’s shameful for a Vanilla race.
It’s because Taurens are secretly the cutest race. Much cuter than Vulpera and infinitely cuter than gnomes without all that inherent gnomish evil.
Didn’t he already?
Try being a Dwarf. Blizz announces a new Dwarf-like race and everyone has a meltdown and cries “Nobody wants more Dwarfs!”.
If I had any capacity to be bummed about a video game, I might be bummed. ![]()
And here I thought this was something about game balance and mechanics…
What a culture.
Yo, the invasion that was caused by the Nightelves and caused the continent to be torn asunder & sever the connection of the Tauren tribes communing with one another? That invasion? Hmm… ![]()
The Cenarius who’s alive again? That Cenarius? ![]()
So essentially living like everyone else? ![]()
As stated earlier, when Night Elves get ‘rough times’ they at least fight back. Tauren just become meat for Tacobell.
~ Perhaps maybe think about what you’re writing before you reply.
I bear no hate for the Night Elves, however the Tauren have been lacking in content, and especially importance let alone much intriguing storylines or potential in comparison — by an immense amount.
And occasionally Anduin, Jaina and the Alliance. ![]()
… Albeit sometimes a little late at even those ![]()
You lack of knowledge really shows…
You have no idea about the difference between Kaldorei & Shaldorei andQueldorei (who became Sindorei)
You just wanna come online and play pity for horde… typical…
I get the anger because that was definitely a dirty move but c’mon… that was over a decade ago.
Tauren are largely ignored by Blizzard outside of Baine. Being ignored by Blizzard writers is a good thing.
Being someone who used to Main a Vulpera. It’s the only race I’ve ever played this game that got genuine racist comments.
We bask in your hatred. It warms us like a warm spring afternoon breeze following a cold winter.
Well, does that surprise you? It’s precisely the environment the devs create. The very first thing you see when you enter the game is a strict racial separation. You’re told that your loyalty depends on your race, not the values you might see in a faction.
This has persisted for almost 20 years now and somehow, the devs still cling to this outdated system. It’s no wonder that this mentality becomes ingrained in some players, especially if they’ve possibly never played anything else beside WoW. ![]()
Has a real “Separate yet Equal” vibe to it that just makes my skin crawl when I think about it.
