Nightelves aren't the hated race, Tauren are

So? What kind of argument is that? The night elves might be more in the spotlight, but almost all of that had a negative effect on their story.

You make good points but I think Blizz will eventually write in an expac that centers around Tauren.

The next expac will be centering around dwarves as they’ve gotten neglected too but not just dwarves as I think there will also be room to include a few other races.

So in time and as the expacs go, Tauren will get their turn. Eventually and if we all live long enough. lol

The red-headed stepchild of the Horde. Your race are bunch of nomads wandering the desert for forty years. Your chieftain was a low level quest giver until his father died in Cataclysm and now he suddenly became the Boss over long time Boss of the Grimtotems.

You speak about fodder of the Horde?

Ummmm trying being Undead and get back to us at 11.

Our leader went off the deep end instead of cowering in a corner.

Our home base is highly questionable and has been for quite some time now.

We get blamed for everything our leader did even if we weren’t actually around or participating in those events(you know exactly which ones I mean).

Your home has never been contested territory.

We have some rando as the representive of a so called council whose part of the Menethil line.

We were dragged around Org in chains for awhile, shall I continue.

Maybe at best as others said Tauren might be the step child but Undeads have been treated as fodder for quite some time and if we even try to step up and behave we are still looked at with disdain.

your entire existence was fodder…
just ask the lich king.

Honestly I’m at a point, where I’m hoping for all races to be neutral in one of the upcoming patches. So that we can choose our faction for it’s values and not for the way we want to look. It’s a rather outdated system to separate players by race anyway.

Not only is it a questionable and dated limitation for players, I’m also tired of the constant whining/hate/toxic behavior in general of one faction only players when it comes to customizations and what not.

TYRANDUUUUUUUUUUUH!!!

  1. Replaced, with a cooler better tree-city.
  2. Reclaimed & confirmed by Blizzard.
  3. Also ~ Reclaimed.

So…

K

You do bring up a good point though
Tauren don’t have anywhere near as many zones as part of their ‘kingdoms’ as the Nightelves do. :woman_shrugging:

Tauren had their whole spirituality & thus entire culture turned into a joke.

I addressed that in my thread – Night Elves at least get some more bite back, whereas Tauren are generally a burger to be enjoyed & nothing more. :hamburger: :cow:

You’re comparing Night Elf models to Tauren models :face_with_raised_eyebrow: … Really? Reaaaaally??

… However on that note, one model or the other would really come down to ones personal preference. For instance, I wouldn’t be contemplating changing this toon to a Night Elf if I despised their models.

One could call that a positive than a negative.

I’d LOVE a city of the Horde’s in the Dragon Isles, surrounded by druidic nature and within reach of a portal to the Emerald Dream.

Clearly.

There are vegan options available :frowning:

:microphone: I NEEEED YOU ♫

Even that wouldn’t be much better lol

Draenei are the most disrespected race in WoW, it’s time they got some content and some respect

With a small neutral village, not a capital on the dragon isles, not Kalimdor.
Doesn’t change the fact that Ashenvale is still under attack in the game.
It is still an open war front.

As long as the devs refuse to actually show updated versions of their victory in the game… well… as I said, these places are still in a destroyed state, thanks to the Horde. Meanwhile there was not a single Horde warfront btw.

Regarding their models, night elves are described as beautiful… their models aren’t. Tauren are cows… I mean… ^^"

You’re going to have whiners on both factions as a lot of players play both factions.

Still, I get what you’re saying. Maybe they’ll do that in time, open up all races for both factions.

Probably not right away since horde did burn down the NE tree, though.

I don’t think people hate the Taurens ,well I don’t . I actually admire them.

Lost many during legion invasion.
Cenarius murdered by orcs.
Lost immortality.
Almost entire race of Night elves was wiped by horde while Taurens sat comfortably in their tents.

Some Tauren/horde players," But we Tauren/horde players are the real victims here TwT we deserve better/more"

I bear no hate for Taurens, they are one race in Horde I actually respect for their efforts in survival, culture and peace. But maybe think about it before you say the Blizz actually hates Taurens when they havent let Kaldorei breathe for a second with peace.

Tauren got their heritage armor earlier and it looks better than the night elf heritage armor.

Tauren racials are way more overpowered when it comes to the picking up herbs meta.

All non-evoker (edit: and non-demon hunter) classes are playable on tauren characters while night elves are still missing paladins and shamans.

Thunder Bluff is in the middle of Kalimdor while Darnassus was in some remote corner and was always a pain to get to (especially now because when you teleport there, if you’re in the BfA timeline then you’re whole trip is going to be way longer). Darnassus is probably the most annoying city in the game to have to go to for any reason (e.g., holidays, etc.); that’s why I think Sylvanas didn’t really do anything wrong except fail to completely delete it from the game

Also the tauren and highmountain tauren cat forms are among the best and are the only ones I’d consider using over the feathermane forms from Legion

Thanks!
I really don’t get the op of this thread. Almost every time the devs do something with the night elves, it’s either getting their lore messed up or they loose something. Now that they are getting a small neutral village on the dragon isles, which will probably be forgotten in the next expansion, some Horde only players loose their mind. Things like this really annoy me about this community. ^^"

Nah, Tauren are everybody’s pals. You might be right, hated by Blizz, but remember, the Night Elves had their big tree burned to ash. That’s quite an accomplishment. But as for hated…

It’s the gnomes and goblins. Nobody likes them.

See , up until Zandalar, trolls were the most hated race. Born on a tiny island off Kalimdor . There was a troll war chief super briefly that died horribly but, you never know, there may be an xpac that has a Tauren city in the future ( if you don’t count Thundertotem which is almost Tauren).

If you want to talk hated race try goblins , that couldn't even keep their own home floating, Goblins may be the most hated race.

IIRC lore wise the Murlocs are basically the Goblins of Goblinslayer… deceptively dangerous and tragically underestimated.

Yeah. Their leaders - the dudes at least - always seem to pop up and then die. Sen’jin - dead in a mission shortly after meeting him in WC3. Vol’jin, doesn’t do much in WoD, and dies in opening Legion  . Talanji’s dad (gosh, I should know this chaps name…but maybe that’s telling?). He is introduced and killed in the same expansion. (by the second season maybe?)

I can hear David Attenborough saying this as he continues to narrate the segment on the cultures of murlocs.

Night elves have had a major role or themed zone in pretty much every expansion since Legion.

Saying Blizzard doesn’t like the race and its asthetic is a pretty hard sell for anyone that’s paying attention to their surroundings.

BfA, SL and DF are effective the World Tree saga. That’s the uniting storyline.
