Nightborne: The Fixes We Need

A strange thing considering the entire first arc of Legion was all about the Nightborne and they fleshed it out beautifully.

I think this is why many races are getting player-like treatment, like Vulpera or Junker Gnomes, even if these may or may not end up as player races.

An embarrassing lack of customization options for an allied race is just deplorable in 2019.

Still hoping for this. Just compare the Nightborne with any other allied race. Now that everything can be changed in the barbershop itā€™s just a matter of time until you fix this, right Blizzard? ā€˜-ā€™

At least for visuals and graphics we all 100% KNOW you can do this like the gods of art you have in your teams. So please, donā€™t leave one of the best races in this mediocrity.

Iā€™m glad to see this thread hasnā€™t died. I much rather the Nightborne had the amount of work the Kul Tirans had, a race that is already unpopular despite the decent work they put into creating them (although they are still lacking).

This may be subjective but the Nightborne are far more interesting than Kul Tirans, but unfortunately that didnā€™t stop Blizzard from rushing them and producing that embarrassment they call Nightborne.

All 4 Legion Allied Races were rushed to incentivize preorders for BfA.

Comparing any of them to Kulā€™tiran, Zandalari, Dark Iron, or Magā€™har is like night and day.

Need a quality pass for them after Goblin/Worgen fixes finally go through.

Food for the brainā€¦Nightborne shouldā€™ve received a racial for Tailoring skill increase, in place of their current Inscription skill increase; they are well-known for their Tailoring techniques after all. Lightforged Draenei couldā€™ve easily received the Inscription skill inscrease, rather than the Blacksmithing increase, since thatā€™s mostly a Dwarven thing.

Bump! Updates for the shelves lol eventuallyā„¢

Bump^
Blizzard better get around to this sooner than Worgen and Goblin updates.
Iā€™m pretty sure the art team just plays Galaga all day.

Funny how even their newly made allied races are going to need revamps, rofl. I worked so hard to unlock NB then i get nothing like the ugly elves i wanted. Lame.

Bump. It was really disappointing to see them lack the glowing hairstyles that Void Elves and Dark Irons get to have.
Also the heritage armor recolors! Magā€™har have that available, why not other races!?

Overall, Iā€™m happy with NB, but op has true points.

Bump because I love my nightborne but hate the lack of hair options and the fact that the textures on the hair we do have are so bad.

I will never give up on this. This is not the model we asked for and even remotely expected. It was such a bait and switch and with no official explanation given to why what-so-ever.

In summary, Legion Nigthborne were a NPC race, with no Player Equipement able to be equipped, and very limited facial rigging. The model was already done before they decided to make them playable, so they had to redo the entire NE model to look like the NPC NB

Evidently, perhaps given a lack of time, they failed to capture the likeness of the NPC model, in a way very similar to the upgrade from Vanilla to WoD Player races models, as the NB NPCā€™s were perhaps as simply facially as vanilla models.

Perfection doesnā€™t require fixing.
