Returning player… just want to vent about how I’m desperately trying to unlock the Nightborne race … did i get this right?:
I need Nightfallen But Not Forgotten, Good Suramaritan, Insurection… and THEN I can start the recruitment campaign right? WOW… just wow… or should I say Blizz… this is taking over a week so far. Mental.
EDIT: what addon do you recommend for allied race unlock? I use CurseForge. Desperate for help

Just do the content it says in the achievement. It’s not like you don’t get anything but nightborne unlocked for your effort spent.
I remember nightborne being one of the easier ones after the lifted time gates. Either way it’s been long enough allied races should no longer be locked.
Ohhhh nooo, A WEEK!? You have to play the game for a couple of days or a week to unlock something you want that’s unlocked forever afterward?! The audacity!
Sarcasm aside, you’ll be fine. It’s not that big of a deal. You’ll be okay.
10-12 hours of play time to be about 1/3 of the way to unlock a Allied race is pretty crazy tbf
It was much longer back when it was current content because reputation was also a factor. They’ve lessened the requirements considerably. It’s not that big’a deal.
They really should just unlock them all for everyone to play this point. It’s been long enough in my opinion. I mean they’re mostly just reskins of existing races and not these really unique models so I don’t get why they even made them as unique races in the first place.

That’s a drop in the bucket. Like people did the whole campaign on multiple characters to get more rep for paragon box farming.
It seems like a lot but it was the last well-written story Blizz ever did for WoW. I highly recommend doing it just because it was good and they are 1000% unlikely to ever successfully replicate anything good that came out of Suramar.

you stop playing for decades and come back 3 months ago and expect to have everything it took other players years to get ? is that the problem?
We need to look at this for what it is. A paying customer, who paid for a service, but is not able to use what was was paid for, without being required to work for days of game time… to access something that was already paid for.
This trend has gone hand in hand with the mass exodus of players from this game. Someone higher up needs to take notice. People should not be forced into grinds for a selling point of a game. New allied races where a selling point (featured in every highlight video released).
I know most people will say “well I had to struggle more so their easy struggle is justified”, let me remind you this is a game.
People do not need this game at all. It is not food, it doesn’t generate a profit for most house holds and in fact, most people are best without this game in their life. So why should a company push away people who don’t actually need their product at all.
Let people play allied races. Unlocking them currently is just a scam to forcefully drive up Monthly Use Metrics.
*I am sure my well thought out response will be received well and people will engage in a healthy discussion on getting back to fun gaming tactics vs predatory metrics made by accountants to drive up numbers, which will then be used as selling points to stock investors. /General Discussion
You should be glad you are running Legion content, it was probably the last really good content the game had. BFA was good in parts, while SLs…
you don’t need an addon to unlock allied race
when you go to character creation screen, hover your cursor over the locked race you want, and there should be a description tooltip of what you need to do.
then, you google the requirements.
that is all.

BFA and Shadowlands have been mehhhhh. 
Head to Suramar, and start questing. They’ll unlock as you progress in rep along the way
It’s ridiculous these requirements are still up, but at the same time I think there should at least be the scenario quests because you really don’t want to miss seeing beautiful Suramar, or do the Void elf scenario with Alleria
