I’ll throw in Dark Ranger as a suggestion cause you can’t tell me given Sylvanas’ Shenanigans that during the fight to take Suramar, she didn’t grab some Nightbourne corpses and go “Hold up, I got an idea.”. I mean she rose a Blood Elf during BfA (Granted he was cool with it.), so yeah.

With a little time, Blizz could give dark ranger skin to the Nightborne. Now it’s only a question of will to get dark ranger skin for the Nightborne.

No judgment here - you’re preaching to the choir. It’s going to take some pretty significant modifications to the Nightborne model to get them to a place where they embody what players fell in love with in Legion.
Same here. The playable Nightborne (even as they stand now) are one of the biggest fumbles WoW has ever produced.
This is why I’m DESPERATELY hoping they add Nightborne themed armor sets to the Trading Post.
I’m confused. Sylvanas never visited Suramar or participated in the fight to reclaim it.

It doesn’t have to be THAT far back, if she could Raise Void Elves from that one battle, she could raise Nightbourne from any battle in Battle for Azeroth.
Hello anyone still around? I was hoping we could talk more about the Nightborne and the Future of them specially since Midnight might be coming soon in the Future of next year or so.

I rarely put full helmets on my characters but my male nb just keeps annoying me so he’s covered now. Even with the customization that was added a whike back they still look bad. I tried to like him. He was a female for a while before the update since they at least look decent but the new options still aren’t great. Dudes need more nicer faces, especially less wrinkles and smaller nose options. Both need more options in general. Better hairline and styles, etc. I agree with the suggestions here.
We also really need armor sets based on the npc armor. I will never understand why the heritage set covers almost everything on a tattooed race.
The heritage set needs a tunic version that keeps the cool wrist details and hip armor. And no chin armor option ( I kinda like it but it needs to be a customization like the other ones not on the set)
And we need the alternate tints of the heritage that are in the files.

I’m still around, but I can’t say I’m hopeful that the Nightborne will receive further customization or any improvements to the poor quality customization work added in Patch 9.1.5.
I’m always open to be proven wrong about that, though.
I have one male Nightborne Warlock, and I kind of leaned into the perma-angry expression they have and made him look extra evil. Aesthetically, that’s the only look a male Nightborne can really pull off.
I have a feeling the alternate tint will be released in Midnight, but completely unaltered with the chin decoration still in place.

-Face shapes
-More textured hairstyles
-More jewelry options
-Separate scar and wrinkle options

I hope we see Suramar as a actual city someday with boat travels to orgrimmar to Silvermoon City. That would be a nice touch to the horde elves.

If I had to narrow down my requests into what I think would be the most effective improvements for the Nightborne, it would be:
Male Nightborne
- Modify their body to be more proportionate, look well in player armor, and still retain their graceful, lithe image
- Add youthful face options that are not angry and snarling
- Lower hairlines for most hairstyles
Female Nightborne
- Lower hairlines for most hairstyles
- Youthful face option
- Adjust how shoulder pieces anchor to the body, as they currently float way above the female Nightborne’s shoulders
Both
- Arcane hair effects
I would love to see all of that.
A separate scar/wrinkle option would be a fundamental change to how character customization currently works, but it would be amazing to have.

At this point in the current setting where Man’ari are rampant and Void Elf Paladins exist, why not have Felborne still out there.
The Felborne could also be used as a jumping off point to open up the possibility of Nightborne Demon Hunters.
A group of Felborne, outcast from Nightborne society after the liberation of Suramar, vow to make amends for their actions and seek out the Illidari to help them learn to control their fel corruption.

As good an explanation as any for how a race would join the Illidari without Illidan’s methods to piggy back off of (Other than the Zandalari Demoniacs.).

Is that so? Most of my characters are Nightborne so I didn’t have an opportunity to observe this.
Interesting. I wonder what they’re preparing for with the stealth updates to Suramar and now this portal availability to all races.
Dare i say the “I was there Gandalf” memes, but i was here, since the beginning of the NB announced as an allied race and since i saw we could not have the proper npc face, i always made threads and participated to the support of having the proper npc’s face for our playable NB.
I had made a MMO-C thread for this way back in 2018!
Then when the 9.1.5 was announced and Blizzard finally saying they will take feedback for NB i was on the EU thread to get more customization.
What i asked for back then was :
Proper npc’s face again.
More skin tones such as the one Elisande have and also Azshara have in the well of eternity dungeon.
And the mana glow effect on hairs.
I still hope to get these!
