Nightborne Creation

Can we please increase the amount of customization, they are the race with the least amount.

A complete joke of a allied race. Void Elves got so much in Shadowlands after the alliance cried yet Nightborne still are a joke

Here is the total amount of options

Void Elves really didn’t get that much, it was mostly CTRL + C from Blood Elf stuff, Mag’har Orcs were the ones that got the most customization options from the allied races if I am not mistaken.

But I agree, the Nightborne could really use new things, I would go as far as say they could use a whole new model that looks closer to the Suramar NPCs.

Why did blizz make new crappy nightborne models when they could have just used the epic npc ones in suramar that were already made?

You guys got an entirely custom model not copy pasted from another race, and it’s already confirmed you guys are getting more.

Stop crying Jimmy got leftover stale cake.

I think it’s because the Suramar NPCs weren’t made with player customization in mind, as in, their clothes and such were attached to the model, so they had to create a new one. Why the new ones are so different from the NPCs though? No idea.

Custom model? It the night elves lmao

Their dance is legit copy pasta aswell

The Skeleton is a copy, their models are actually unique, including idle animation.

Like how Vulpera share the same skeleton as Goblins but have a different model.

Can we talk about how lightforged dreanei didnt even get the racial options that regular dreanei got like tail size?

Void Elves got stuff because Blizzard said AGES ago (like mid BfA) that they’d look into adding high elf customizations to Void Elves. They didn’t do any additional work, just copy pasted Blood Elf stuff to appease that crowd some amount.

No other Allied Race got anything. It wasn’t their focus for Shadowlands.

I’d go into a rant about how Allied Races should have just been customization options in the first place, but I suppose this isn’t really the time for that.

Idk, even the model seems like a LARGE part of it is just retextured Goblin. Obviously not 100% the same but it’s also not from scratch on top the Goblin skeleton.

I feel like some of you want Vulpera to be more unique than they are.

Nightborne are pretty atrocious. Rare art department fail, along with their inability to select a matching color palette for Bastion.

Well, it just mostly is, Kul’tirans were the only ones that got a new model and skeleton. Male Zandalari uses Night Elven skeleton with different animations and models, Nightbornes use the Night Elf skeletons with special idle and different models, Vulpera uses Goblin skeleton with new animations and the rest is just CTRL + C > CTRL + V.

Hopefully we get undead night elf customization for them. To equal the high elf stuff.

It’s a modified Nelf rig. Just like Zanda are a modified Troll rig. The only custom rig is KT.

Nightborne got screwed on faces. They’re not even Nightborne faces.

As for the topic at hand, Blizz did say they’re not finished with customizations.

Part of me believes that Nightborne weren’t initially intended to be an Allied Race, and they only decided to make them one after the players’ reception to the Suramar questline and characters, and thus…the rushed mess of a model is what we’re left with.

The crazy part is, all they had to do was finish staging their rig as-is.

It’s wild to me they seemed to take such care doing the HD revamp of OG races but decided to pretty much freestyle the playable Nightborne.

We wanted the elves in Suramar but instead got their grandparents.

What about Allied Race customizations?

For the initial release of Shadowlands, the focus is on the original races. Character customizations is an ongoing project and they’re never completely done. - Wowhead

People attribute this quote to mean that Blizzard plans for additional character customization options for allied races some time later during the Shadowlands expansion, when it does not state that in the slightest.

It took Blizzard years to implement even the most minor of additions to customization, and it was touted as a big feature for Shadowlands.

Either way, the Nightborne need both increased customization options and a model overhaul. I don’t see Blizzard moving any time soon to do either.

They can give you more customizations, but it’ll cost you a raid tier.

Are you prepared to pay that price?

(because apparently it takes a raid-tier comparable effort just to add some new hairstyles and face options for our small indie company)

how do you have -40 posts?

How about you stop acting brain dead. The whole race is a joke and is so poorly made. The shoulders are all jacked up and it looks like someone is pulling her shoulders backwards. Shoulder pads are way way to large. They do not even have a normal relaxed stance. The sheer amount of lazyiness the company took in creating them is a huge insult. And I could go on but enough has been said already.

Unlike you Miss know it all Void elf who got everything handed to you for customizations and still want more cause your just not happy.
