I just did Mythic Karahzan and did all 5 crystals in time and noticed that I wasn’t getting a buff. I assumed the buff timer was removed. I get to where Medivh should be and he’s gone…
He isn’t even in the dungeon journal anymore.
Nevermind, it seems the timer starts as soon as I open the door. I went to the bathroom after opening the door before grabbing first crystal -_-
Medivh was never a boss in Karazan I think so he won’t be in the dungeon Journal. In lore, he’s on the same level as Khadgar and Jaina. So he’d be an insane raid boss. As for the buff, no idea what that is. As far as I know there was never a buff.
All there is is a text message emote saying something about a chill in the air. You know you’ve failed the timer when you receive another message saying the air warms up. My guess is you didn’t make the timer.
Also remember that even if you do beat the timer for the dragon boss to spawn, you’ll only have a 20% chance of it dropping if you’re doing it solo. Which is I guess not low compared to other Mount drops. But I’ve been in a group of 4 that did it and so the mount drop chance would have been 80% and it still didn’t drop. But then I did it later with a group of 5 (100% drop chance for 1 person) and finally got it.

Medivh makes Khadgar and Jaina look weak, he’s close to titans I think.
I think all that’s left of Medivh is an echo of his power, he’s probably gone. Currently Khadgar is the strongest mage.
Edit: I was forgetting about Azshara, who is probably the strongest mage, followed by Khadgar I believe.

Actually I was thinking this might be the case. Just wasn’t sure. But yea, I think Medivh could take down Khadgar and Jaina at the same time by himself, he’s that powerful in lore. Although I don’t think he’s anywhere near Titan level. Maybe could challenge an Old God? Are they meant to have been as powerful as the Titans?
No idea. All I know is that the leader of the Pantheon was able to kill the strongest of the Old Gods. Old Gods can get very big(https://wow.gamepedia.com/Planet#/media/File:Star_Augur_Etraeus_Old_God_corrupted_planets.jpg)
I dare say they can get into a melee fight with a Titan who is the size of a Planet like Old Gods.
