Night warrior customization?

Any chance yall can make it an eye color (new option) instead of 1 skin tone? I think that would be way better.

There is no consistency. The eye colors for Blood Elves are part of their Face Options. Now, eye color for the Night Elves is a skin color? Really?

Ideally it would be its own option. But maybe making one version a face option might be good for adding it to other skin tones.

Ideally, we would be able to choose eye color separately from face and skin. Unfortunately, that isn’t possible in World of Warcraft and is a larger change than just providing consistency of options from race to race.

I think the skin and night eyes are suppose to represent the darkside of elune so a purple elf with black eyes wont make much sense. Then again Tyrande is still purple so hey…

BUT.

I would have preferred some glowing effects, tattoos or something… something more than just black eyes and dark blue skin.

Nope. Because it’s the Night Warrior. It’s not “I’m a happy pink elf with dark eyes.” You’re Elune’s vengeance. Her darkest side. Which means all of you. Not just your eyes.

Yup. Cause they’re not going to code in another set of customizations. Easier to make it a face option. Because a Belf can be any color they want to with golden eyes. Night Warriors can’t.

The eyes looked blue to me when I zoomed in on my night elf after I switched to it.

Adding a new skin is easier than adding a new customization option. The later will require them to rework all skins and change quite a bit of code, the former is pretty much a new texture and a switch to turn off the eye glow geoset.

That said, I’m underwhelmed by the night warrior option. I think it should be two or three new skins, each in a different color, so there’s more than one option (like blood elves got three golden eyed faces, not just one).

I also think the night warrior option could unlock the DH-only black hair option for all night elf classes. Night warrior + black hair go very well together, and having the black hair for all night elves would make a lot of people happier.

It’s sort of odd, as my skin is like 10 shades darker. But I guess it fits with the “night” warrior theme? IDK.

BTW, I want my black eyes on the forum, but it’s not showing up D:

The forum takes a while to update our appearances. It will appear eventually.

My portrait retained my purple garb I was wearing when the forum was updated for a long time after I had adopted the current green look.

I’d call this flat out false advertising. Tyrande doesn’t have that skin, it’s the eye change that’s the key. The eyes should be available with all the existing skin colors.

To be fair, Tyrande is a hero character, their are different rules for them.
