Fought this comp and the DK was literally named “Gripblind”…very telegraphed.

Saw Pizzadawg and Mes both play Frost DK/Evoker. They had fun first few games then people figured out how to avoid getting cheesed and it all just kind of fell apart and looked very frustrating.
I just stayed stealth and the DK got ancy since my Ret started destroying him. So the DK did a grip on my ret and Healer but left me out of the disorient. That was a mistake since I was about to negate most of the go on my Ret.
It’s basically game over once the setup and go is stopped. Very cheesy comp. Reminded me of Arcane/Sub at the start of DF where the Sub rogue was only used as a CC bot to setup the insta kill from the Arcane mage out of mass-invis.
frost/devoker is pretty good when you fight different teams over and over
but when you fight the same team over and over people start to realize how to avoid the cheese
sadly since 3s is dead you very frequently fight the same team over and over
How are you guys saying it’s not that great when trill cdew and mes literally make every other team stop queueing when they play it

idk I haven’t seen that. The one time I saw them play it was into War/Rsham/x (can’t remember the 3rd) and they were having a great time first 2 games then lost the rest and were just struggling trying to get goes while getting destroyed between. Then about a week later saw Pizzadawg playing it and was the same. Just trying to get goes, enemy figured out how to rotate stops and position to make it super hard, and they just run the entire game between with no pressure. Maybe they figured out how to overcome those issues since then.
They play double Evoker and just double rewind after the go

I just checked out Trill’s most recent vod of the comp and it looks like they are just killing through buttons now after the devoker deep breath buffs. Trill is stacking charged blast 20x and deeping>empowering>fire breath and the pyre procs alone are critting for 125k and sometimes people are getting cleaved by 2 of them.

Oh no, I did the plastering lol. It was a 1700 mmr shuffle. Didn’t even realize it was cdew until after.
