It’s insane how much Blizzard is favoring night fae covenant. For classes who consider it BiS it’s simply best performing covenant between all.
Let me explain. Warriors prefer Ventyr, Priest as well, locks and prot warriors prefer Necro, etc, but they are not performing even close as classes that have night fae as BiS. Now in patch 9.1 especially for hunters , druids usually current top dps classes , night fae will bring allot more to the table to make them monsters in dps.
Blizzard is literally favoring Night fae , and I was telling this even before when I read the story.I knew it it will be best for most classes due characters and some stuff I don’t wanna mention here. But seriously night fae didn’t need any major buffs in 9.1 , not to mention adding some legos that will contribute or sync to add even more to that covenant
GD is crazy. First, it was “Venthyr is OP. If you don’t go venthyr you won’t get into groups.” Then it was “65% of specs are going Kyrian, Pelagos is OP, click for more info.”
Now, NF is op. What did GD think would happen when blizzard listened to feedback and nerfed venthyr and kryian?
I don’t think it’s favored. I think different teams probably worked on different covenants and one of those teams was absolutely off the hook.
You can see it in the many soul shape cosmetics, the ease of the covenant specific garden quests, the intelligent use of the soul binds where all three are strong or useful for everyone (while other covenants seem to have a specific bind for dps, tanks and support), the formerly over powered mission table recruits.
I love every covenant, but the NF team did the best work.
Even though we prefer it, Night Fae is actually super overpowered for M+. A Fury Warrior in Night Fae in M+ is one of the highest performing classes in the game. Night Fae is obviously overtuned. Condemn only does well in raids because of the conduit that gives you extra crit chance with it, not because of the ability itself.
(Although… they have the most access to account wide mounts. You pretty much HAVE to have a Night Fae and a Necrolord if you want to get all the non-cov specific mounts)
Studies conducted through complicated means deduced that goldfish have a working memory capacity of AT LEAST 5 months… and that’s just cause 5 months was about as long as the studies were carried out.

There’s only a handful of covenants. If it wasn’t night fae, it would have been something else. There’s just no scenario where these things were going to be balanced.
