I researched the Conservatory last night for the Night Fae Covenant and upon completion I began the quest line to activate it. I got to the quest “Greeting a God” where you have to let a seed incubate for 1 hour. I did that, clicked the seed, Lilia spawned and I talk to her and she gave me a chest. I opened the chest and a few enchanting materials were inside, however I did not gain any credit on the quest. I am still stuck at “0/1 Release the spirit from the wildseed”. I’ve tried disabling all addons, I’ve tried dropping the quest and picking it up again, but nothing solves the issue. The seeds are now non-interactable and I cannot get Lilia to spawn again in order to trigger “release the spirit” credit. My Conservatory info tab in my Covenant Sanctum window says that the conservatory is dormant even though the quest still tells me to incubate the seed again which I cannot do. Please help, this is impeding my sanctum progress.
Were you in a raid group? The same thing happened to me.

Ah, I’d just helped in a raid group for Valfir and I think that’s what caused my issue.
same, didnt get credit and cant start the seed again. restarted quest, turned off add-ons, waited for daily reset, nothing.
So I may have found a workaround. If you get a spirit from another source (I got one from a Maw quest) you can plant it and the planting gives you credit for releasing the spirit and the quest then upgrades to “Speak to the restored spirit”. I’m hoping that when the spirit hatches I can talk to it and get that step completed.
Unfortunately I won’t know for 3 days, but that is likely faster than I’ll get a solution on my blizzard ticket.
I too can not complete this quest. My problem is the chat bubble to talk with the seed after hatching disappears when I get close enough to talk with it.
this is my problem too!!! I back up i can see the function to talk but not close enough. I go foward chat icon disapeers
I am having this same issue. I cannot get close enough to speak and the chat bubble disappears
Found a sort of solution to the no-clickable chat icon issue. I have right-click to run on, and when I moved away the char icon appeared. I right-clicked the spirit and ran forward and the dialog window opened.
I was just having this same issue today. I managed to blink and click at the same time and it worked
as of Jan 3 still having issues with the chat option, can’t get it to pop up when you’re close enough to actually chat with them, but it pops up when you’re further away, I’m on a warlock trying to do this so Idk what to do to fix it.
So I left the conservatory and came back in, The spirit was a seed again, which I clicked on AGAIN and hatched the spirit. It was then able to be talked to, I don’t know if this helps anyone but that’s what happened for me.

Left conservatory and came back in, the spirit had reverted to a new seed. Clicked the seed and it became a (different) restored spirit, but I still dialogue with it.
If I back up way beyond click range, I can tell via mouseover that it is now dialogable, but when I get close again, the option disappears.
I had this issue. I backed out of range and clicked the right-clicked the chat bubble icon - Toon walked up and opened the dialogue. Worked fine.
