Seems like the wound inflicted in Legion still lingers. Do you think this will ever be resolved in-game, or will be a perpetual easter egg for Death Knight players to chuckle at their own dastardly deeds?
No
Yes
I think we’re lucky to even get an acknowledgement.
Alexstraza in War Crimes.
“I don’t hold the Horde responsible for what they did to me during the Second War, all the forced breeding, the death of so many of my children… What use is a grudge like that?”
Alexstraza from Legion onwards when seeing a Death Knight.
“YOU LOUSY PIECE OF WALKING FILTH! GIVE ME THREE GOOD REASONS NOT TO ROAST YOU SO THOROUGHLY EVEN NOMI WOULD SAY, ‘DAMN!’”
Resolved how? The dragons are broken. What, exactly, do you expect them to accomplish?
I would actually roll a DK so that I could experience this wrath in real time
Hint: the writer of the books and the writers of the quests often have different ideas on how a character should behave. See also: Proudmoore, Jaina.

Even if no whelps were killed DKs still raised a red dragon into undeath to serve as your mount though instead of letting it rest, which kind of goes against everything the flight revolving around life stands for. Of course she’d be mad about it.
the power dynamic is off. really, the reds should be trying not to garner the ebon blade’s attention.
Its very presence was causing an unlimited supply of undead to continually be destroyed and restored. If anything, taking its corpse out of the equation was beneficial to the whole life/death balance thing.
