Pretty much this, a combination of Teldrassil, the quest chain and their relation to the emerald dream which probably means tens of thousands of years of connection with Night Elves.

You could’ve said the same about nightborne ¯_(ツ)_/¯. Heck Highmountain had more connection to nelves too technically.

nightborn didn’t had much connection to night elves, except their origins, they were more akin to blood elf magic society.
pretty sure they have more with tauren, regardless of the Cenarius thing
Pretty much everything Syeg has said is correct.
The nightborn have much more in common with the blood elves given both races were primarily highborne with an appreciation for the arcane.

I’m not talking about their general plot-theme, they were clearly pretty much a copy of blood elves but developed. But they had way more history with the night elves, given that Night elves actually met them and had the same point of origin once, specially given it’s Tyrande’s city, while Blood elves are descendants that are just meeting them.
Likewise Baine and the other were just meeting the Highmountain while they had been living alongside the night elves for thousands of years, clearly they weren’t enemies or anything and had druidic aspects in common.
So some people say that data mining wrong or it is right. To me if I believe it I believe vampires and Kyrian will join the alliance will a form of necrolords and fae will join the horde.

Pandaren have nothing more to really be said about them. They had MoP and that was really it. How could they develop nowadays? It’s honestly best that they stay out of the spotlight.
Meanwhile, there’s a lot of interesting ideas behind Neutral races like the Covenant races. You can make up your own backstory and reasons for your faction choice. I could say that I was an Orc in life who died in Stonetalon defending a Caravan. So I return to the Horde after SL. Or I could take a twist and say that my Orc felt betrayed when he died and instead chose Alliance this second time.
I would reply more, but you calling an already neutral race a joke race that should stay out of the spotlight pretty much sums it up.

I’m predicting that in numerous threads, Alliance posters will end up requesting that all 4 covenant “races” be made into Alliance AR’s.
I wish Pandaren got more story. T^T

I’m not “offended”. I just think it’s silly that Alliance have come up with “justification” why every AR should have been Alliance, and every race but Orc should have been Alliance.
