Every expansion actively spits in night elves faces by only having a patch or two dedicated to them. Its honestly a slap in the face for night elf fans. Every patch where night elves aren’t in it is an affront to their legacy, and blizzard “makes up for it” by having patches dedicated to their lore but its clearly not what night elf fans.
why cant blizzard just make good lore?

i hope all the other races realize just how little night elves are represented in lore considering how often the tauren, dwarves, gnomes, and trolls are put front and center in patches. its seriously a lore crime the night elves don’t get mentioned more.
Yet NE ruins litter the old world (and some parts of later expansions) quite heavily. Nobody who pays attention forgets the NEs exist.
Like I get the sarcasm, but this heritage quest was actually pretty worthless and having a tint of the heritage armor datamined and clearly present in the game files but unavailable because reasons sucks.

I mean Im pretty sure nelves would like no attention for a bit considering everytime they show up its just them getting absolutely destroyed by something or their lore being butchered

all those ruins and questlines related to them are just an example of schrodingerian lore. i want real lore for the night elves. the war of the shifting sands doesn’t count, everything at mt hyjal doesn’t count, teldrassil doesn’t count, the new world tree doesn’t count, illidan doesn’t count.

gnomes have too much lore. its night elves turn. gnomes get lore every patch whereas night elves have to languish in not getting lore ever.

yeah seriously, gnomes have way too much lore. and its almost entirely about how safe and not threatened they are. unlike night elves who are literally the torture dolls of wow devs.
If only gnomes could see things from a night elves perspective. theyd know who the truly oppressed race is.
I am still a salty that Nazjatar was a zone in a patch and not its own expansion… I don’t expect Blizzard to give the Night Elf faction, a second-class faction of the Alliance, stories of worthy of its heritage.
Pffft night elves should get a whole expansion that only night elves can play. Call it “Elune be praised!”
It should be about all the night elves coming together for a party but they can’t decide to have it in a tree or at a tree within a tree.
Then Sylvanas crashes the party. Tyrande faints at the sight of her! But then a twist of events Sylvanas catches her before she hits the ground.
Then slyvanas takes off her mask and she’s really Illidan.
They all worship a robot and live happily ever after.
When are we gonna get more cutscenes into the war for the well of eternity. I liked illidans history story quests in legion. We need more of those but the highborne and night elf side povs. Like actual scenes before the battle. I wanna see Azshara’s elf form before the naga form.

and malfurion sees the whole thing and asks tyrande why she’d cheat on him.
to which tyrande replies: WHERE ARE YOU TYRANDE!? I NEED YOU!!! and then sylvanas and her viciously make love right there.
And everyone claps.
So everyone lives happily ever after, except malfurion.
