Gul’dan corrupted the Orcs, slaughtered the Draenei, blew up Draenor, and led multiple wars against Azeroth. Then his AU version shows up and does even more stuff.
Sylvanas is going to have to up her game to get anywhere close to that. Right now she is at one tree and one castle ruins.
The Night Warrior chain had you mow through the Horde soldiers posted there. The Horde doesn’t control most of darkshore, it’s a back and forth as depicted in the warfront, also the majority of the night elf fighting forces are the sentinels, and they’re stationed in Feralas under Shandris. So the blitzkrieg through Ashenvale and Darkshore didn’t affect their ranks much.
Tyrande got stronger. Point one. Only literal goddess now acts as Tyrande desires. Point two.
Every elf surrounding her is also similarly empowered. Point 3.
Also forcing a retreat is defeating someone. I know you wanted her to kill Nathanos, I understand. I want to kill Jaina. I desperately desperately want to kill Jaina, but all the Horde could do was defeat her.
It does because it reduces her power to replace troops and people. Plus haven’t you noticed the pattern of everyone who was in a warbringer video becoming a raid boss?
I don’t know if WoW is your first Blizzard game, but “villains” win sometimes. WC1 ended canonically with the razing of Stormwind, Starcraft ended with Kerrigan becoming Queen $*#&$ of the universe and Mensk being the emperor of man, Diablo wins in every game except D3. Also the Alliance started this war, when they attacked the Horde out of either revenge or hatred.
It’s Sylvanas ironclad justification for this whole war, when we have any kind of peace with the Alliance, the Alliance always breaks that peace.
Genn attacked the fleet in Legion
Jaina decided that keeping Northwatch Tower up was worth breaking the peace treaty in Cata
Varian decided to declare war in Wrath
Every time, every single time we try for peace the Alliance breaks it. And when the retaliation stings too much they cry foul.
Boo hoo the broken front was cheating
Boo hoo Theramore was a tragedy
Boo hoo Teldrassil was a genocide
So yes, if there was any fairness in this game you would lose this war. Because it would be the first one you ever lost.
Well let’s talk about the WoD version then, before his plan of corrupting the orcs succeeded.
I wouldn’t call that one tree. I described it already. It was an unprovoked genocide against a race of the alliance, mostly targeting innocent civilians. Nobody cares about the tree. but she killed a 5 digit number of civilians that had a life expectancy of thousands of years.
Well, Elegy says otherwise there. It says that the absolute majority of the night elves were present in teldrassil.
I actually rewatched the whole thing and in a 1v1 situation, Nathanos against Tyrande, Nathanos almost won. He was just about to finish tyrande off before Malfurion intervened. That even with her newly gained power, so I’d hardly call that a goddess.
Becoming a raid boss, yes. But dying? None of these 3 died. That’s also a pattern right there which makes me worried.
Sometimes, but not always. And then Blizzard tries to make the horde appear like anything else than heartless savages.
That’s just simply wrong. The recent war was started by the horde without any provocation.
didn’t sylvanas kill his son?
when was that?
Again, just wrong. I don’t know where you got that from.
Alliance loses all the time, but at the end they never get revenge. Remember the wrath gate, or theramore, or even teldrassil which was the worst event that has ever happened in WoW ?
The horde just came back from defeating the legion together with the horde, and the alliance hasn’t done any unprovocated offenses against the horde prior to that. Then she decided to just wipe out an entire alliance race that was mostly peaceful minding their own business. I mean in every zone where the night elves fight anything, they are just trying to defend their land against the horde, and everytime they seem to just lose. Remember Stonetalon ?
I play both factions, I know both stories so far in BfA and I’ve done the war campaign on both factions and it’s easy for me to tell who’s the villain and who are the “good” guys in this war. I even used to be a horde main, but everyone should be able to tell that what the horde did is just next level disgusting. Besides, of course, if you like being the unreasonable villains.
Wish we could teldrassil the rest of them. They are weak and illsuited for fighting. Tyrande is a terrible leader. No diplomacy skills, no warrior skills, nothin. She just walks around screaming about the light and elune and everyone pretty much ignores her.
Well, it is a huge part of what I don’t like about BfA, and I’m not alone. There are many others who feel the same way.
When did that happen again? We killed a king that was already doomed from his pact. It’s not like we burned down entire Dazar’alor aiming at civilians without having a reason to like Sylvanas did to Teldrassil.
Ughh you’re denser than Osmium. I’m wasting my time.
You destroyed the only single most powerful navy/fleet in Azeroth denying the Horde a naval Base, you killed a king who had nothing to do with Teldrassil, you guys got butthurt he was assisting the Horde after the Horde assisted him from an ancient evil. G’Hunn.
Now, we are dealing with a much more dangerous enemy, N’Zoth, and the Horde already has a head of an elder God in their caps, while you got what? An evil that has been irrelevant for a very long time and hasn’t really done much damage?
Let’s be real here, if G’huun didn’t get freed and attacked, it’s unlikely you allies would’ve been able to invade the city. Also using a distraction tactic? How cowardly.
Kinda bothered by the fact that out of the forum regulars, most of them are Horde and the few “Alliance” ones are Horde apologists, probably just Horde mains using their Alliance alts to post.
Oh you are one of these guys who like playing the mindless villains. I don’t mind it, I just won’t bother to discuss about it. It’s nice for you, but my original points still stand.
If you like doing horrible things for no good reason just for the sake of being evil, then that’s just your style. People who don’t like that though have a good right to be upset.
You mean Quel’thalas abandoned the Alliance of Lordaeron and did nothing to prevent the Scourge (the same Scourge that would later ravage their kingdom) to grow?
If Quel’thalas and Gilneas actually helped Lordaeron to deal with the Scourge while it was just a cult it would never become a world threat and all the death and attrocities that happened in Wotlk would never happen, neither crazy Sylvanas and the Forsaken would be a thing.
But no, let’s leave them to their fate and stay in our comfy pillows and springs in Quel’thalas while a crazy Prince possessed by a cursed sword ravages everything and amass a huge army in our borders, but surely that don’t represent a threat right?
That scene was the single most blatant example of plot armor gone wild I may have ever seen. Tyrande as Night Warrior should have been able to take both of them and Nathanos. She is quite literally Elune’s Vengeance made flesh in that form. We were all just along for the ride when she gained that form - she obliterated everything in her path until we got to the beach without even slowing down.
And that’s forgetting that one of the most powerful NPCs on Azeroth was at her side. Between her and Malfurion that should have gone something like:
“Let me help” - Malfurion
“Stay out of it, my love - they’re mine” - Tyrande
“But Tyrande, I need…” Malfurion
“Don’t say it.” Tyrande “But fine, he’s mine and you can go play with the Valkyries”
Fight starts, Malfurion pulls the wings off the flies one at a time but before he’s done with that, Nathanos is a pile a smoking ash on the beach.
