Sure, I vote yes. Night elves can be priests and warriors, and paladin is a smush of those two. Just make a night elf priest and a night elf warrior have a baby! Cute! Babies!

Still not sure why they haven’t added it, hell, some of the highborne that were the queen’s royal guards were Paladins, you are telling me that the Shen’dralar didn’t look at all the Alliance paladins running around and thought “HMMMM, where have I seen this before?”

The legion expansion proved that there is a possibility for NEs to become paladins through the order hall story.

Blizz scrapped that and paved the way for Nelves to be Human Paladins. This is the only thing that scares me of the race/class combo.
If I see Nelves kneeling in Human church I will kick every Blood Elf I see to vent.

Gnomes, goblins, vulpera and orcs need paladins, too. Don’t forget them!
So silly how they are giving us race/class combos that break the lore entirely, but will not give us NE Pallies when it does not break the lore in any way.
There are so many NEs would walk far into the light. If anything, it is more lore breaking for Blood Elves to be paladins than it is for Night Elves to be. This Blood Elf was corrupted with demonic fel energy and was only cleansed a tiny bit ago in the lore. So no way I should ever have been an actual paladin on this toon.
Warlock, necrolyte and Death Knight is about all I could technically have been according to the lore. BUT. MMOs are NOT cannon. This is an interpretation of the cannon and so therefore is only loose legends.
Oh and Blue Eyed Blood Elves belong in the Alliance now as that is all the Blood Elves ever wanted and now with Garithos gone that option is possible.

Tauren Rogues and Mages, Orc Priests do not break lore. They have been in the game for 18 years.

You can still find some Tauren rogue NPCs in Thousand Needles from time to time.

As soon as 10.0 drops I’m changing my Panda and Vulpera Rogue, Panda and Dwarf Mage and Human Priest to tauren and HMT so fast that my credit card will catch on fire.

I get why people cling to lore like a security blanket; it allows them to turn off their imagination.
But I don’t understand how people don’t realize we’re not playing as a normal citizen of Azeroth. We’re playing as HEROES; the outliers. Not some rank-and-file soldier of the Alliance/Horde.
Lore-breaking class combinations would exist for those, wouldn’t they?

To do NE paladins properly, Blizz would need to implement class skins. Doesn’t make sense to have NEs throwing around shiny yellow Light spells. Give them bright white/blue Light spells? Now we’re talking.

Just my two cents here, I myself really want NE paladins and hope they happen soon.
But i’m pretty sure one of the main reasons blizzard is hesitant on allowing them is because of mythic+, imagine a pally bubble pulling a whole group of mobs for your group to pass by, then stealthing to drop combat, or bubble stealthing passed a group to rez a death run… thats just a few of many examples. Idk hopefully they allow them to be NE’s soon. : /
