They actually Shren’Dalar, the Highborn from Dire Maul. They joined the Kaldorei. Night Elf is more a General term for a race. But yeah it is silly since it’s not really mentioned anywhere in the game.

No they are not, they are the students of the Highborne of Eldre’thalas, Highborne serve as the mentors to new Kaldorei magi, players themselves are not Highborne.
