I just wanted to ask those that know, Alliance vets, is it best to leave my starting area/city post level like 12? I am about to hit 12, and I was wondering what the alliance said accepted most efficient next stop is for great leveling.

Hear what? Night elves and their zones are awesome.
Get to level 10-11 then wetland run to Human zones. If you wish to skip nightelf zones
Head to Westfall once you hit 12. That way, once you hit 17+ you’re in the zone for Deadmines.
Currently in westfall on my lvl13 NE hunter
Honestly, do what you like. If you like the Elwynn starter zone better than the NE zone, go ahead and run there at level 1.
I just ran the Corpse-drag gauntlet today on my level 4 Night elf to Iron Forge. Just be sure to stop at the bank in Darnassus first, strip off all your clothing, and weapons, and stash them in the bank. You are going to die in the Wetlands and this way you won’t have a repair bill. Grab your stuff from the bank at your destination.
Oh, and grab the flight paths along the way in Menethil and Dun Morough, and Iron Forge before taking the tram to Stormwind.
