It wasn’t Xavius alone as much as it was the Nightmare as a whole. Also remember, at the time of Malfurion’s capture, Xavius has a corrupted Tear of Elune.
Also, the entire Val’sharah story was basically the same Stormrage story… So it’s really just Dues Ex Machina Plot device at work again.
If you think Malfurion>the Lich King, then I cant help you. But we do know for a fact Sylvanas curb stomped the lich king, which is stated to be one of the strongest beings on Azeroth. Bolvar might not be as powerful as Arthas, but he was mighty none the less.
We have no point of reference for his strong Bolvar is. His body is A over cooked potato chip, he lacks Arthas’s full suit of armor that came with the helm of domination, and he lacks Frostmourn. Furthermore, his power can mostly be measure by his command of Undead, not raw strength.
Yes, I think Malfurion beats Bolvar. I think Tyrande beats him too. Hell, Jaina might even stand a chance.
True, but it’s still unfortunate when people can’t find joy in something so beloved. I think people have a right to voice their frustrations. If you don’t have any empathy with this particular group of people, that’s fine, we can’t make you feel a certain way. But I think it’s near maliciousness to go our of your way to make a negative post about it.
It’s like seeing someone with a knife in their gut, and you decide to twist it instead of minding your own business.
Someone put up their opinion on a forum. That’s kinda free ground for other people to put up their opinion about that opinion and is nothing at all like causing intense suffering.
But I feel like (or hope) people can have a back and forth without being absolute pricks to one another. But I’m very, very frequently disappointed.
How else is someone supposed to make their interests in changes about the game known? We want to do business with them, they want our continued business, we can underline what jeopardizes that.
This is the due process. This forum is here for that. So long as the message is consistent and loud, it will gain traction. All the better, if people of prominence in Blizzard’s media can signal boost it. Red Shirt Guy’s comment was the weight needed to at least try to fix some of Darkshore’s problems. It didn’t fix them all, mind, but it was more than what we had- whilst we were nearing LAUNCH, no less.
