Can we please make our Night Elves’ eyes have an iris? They do have them as per current lore - I don’t like how their eyes look currently in game, like a pair of flashlights.

Yea from my knowledge they always have the glowy look. I don’t ever recall them having an iris.
I am not opposed to more detail in the eyes of course. From what I remember Delaryn had a visible iris.

They usually have glowing irises in the cinematics/artwork of them.
The lack of them ingame was probably just due to graphical limitations when WoW was created which was then carried forward in the model update to keep things consistent.

I hate flashlights, too OP. Let’s hope when they redo eyes for 9.0 that they give us an option for a lower glow effect.
Original Belf Golden glow eyes looked amazing. I wouldn’t mind something similar for everyone with their different glows and options for high and dim glow.

Yea looking back at cinematics and looking really hard. I see them now. 0.o
But meh it doesn’t really bother me. Would be cool for players to have it as a customization choice though.

Check them out on the PTR. They are changing how they look. Unfortunately it makes them look like they have little beady eyes in the dark but I’m sure we’ll get used to it.
If belves can have irises why nelves can’t? Support!

When we get our new eye glows I absolutely want to have real looking eyes. Give me irises!

I would love to lose the flashlight glow on eyes. And on some models (I think high elf NPC’s) if you zoom in closer you can see a faint iris under the color. This is how I would like to see all elven eyes or any with glow (DK’s are like this too if I remember right not sure about Forsaken)

Edit: btw, this here is the basis of the update Blizzard is doing for ALL eye-glow eyeballs in preparation for more customization and eye-sliders in Shadowlands.
Fyi, the examples above (from the PTR) are still a work in progress and not necessarily the finished result.
Elise Starseeker doesn’t have glowly eyes in her artwork. Maybe not a real blade ear?
Other races with glowly eyes: Void elves, Nightfallen, Zandalari, worgen, blood elves, both flavors of draeni, Dark Iron Dwarves, undead. So like about half the races in the game.
I hope they add irises to nelves and more eye colors like gold and blue.
