I have suggested in the past that like “capturing pets” is a hunter thing.
Empathizing forms could be a druid thing. While I get that not all models have the animations needed, each expansion could have a few.
I’d envision that you’d come across the creature and do some ritual of empathy for the form and that becomes your form for that shift.
So many cats, bird, bears, turtles, wolves, etc. Would make druid forms evergreen per expansion.

All Vanilla races are outdate especially the racials…
Night elves in general need cosmetic attention. The male nelf model would be the worst model in the game if male nightborne wasn’t a thing. Male zandalari has the same model but it works better on them since trolls are supposed to look that goofy and disproportionate.
I’d add to that… Not to let the Druid Class Hall fall (or even Moonglade would serve) be totally forgotten, they could be used as a “shapeshift hub” where you can change the model of your form, pulling together stuff like the glyph forms or the artifact weapon forms.
He’s not (unless I have multiple-personality syndrome!), but I totally understand the confusion. Kurston is a handsome looking Night Elf, who also has a brilliant suggestion.
I imagine an ability similar to the Hunters Tame, which lets us copy an animal form like a glyph. We could even include some plant creatures for Balance & Restoration, it would be very interesting indeed.
It just needs a overhaul, that’s it. They could do a whole character creation (Along with hairstyle choices). If not, then I dunno how hard it is to implement but given that Vulpera has a bag of vials you can choose from (Once you get them) the ability corresponds to it. Why is it hard for Blizzard to do the same for Druid’s Shapeshifting form? I remember reading that the “hard coding” of artifact weapons and their skins are hard to use but I feel like that’s a poor excuse… I would actually like a realistic answer.
I’m probably being harsh but given how many druids, even when my main is a druid, have been begging for freedom of creativity with their earned shapeshifting forms.

People get bored of Druid forms when the Druid class hall flight form was announced I was like OMG I need it I’m so sick of my regular flight form!
Then you got people who want more creativity. Zandalari got really cool different forms and people want all races to have Unique forms and not similar to all the other Druid races.

Is not hard at all from a coding standpoint, it is hard for the art team. Making a bunch of animal skin forms with all the corresponding animations would be insane.

Interesting…I completely disagree as I feel like night elves are one of the better models and have some of the best animations.
Worgen have it just as bad, debateably far worse. Zandalari turn into dinosaurs, so there’s now no reason why worgen shouldn’t turn into a variety of wolves. That said I couldn’t go back to a night elf druid just now partially because these newer druid forms are just so much better. They were updated, once, but their age is showing again.
Might just be me but I like them better than the others. The other new forms, sans Zandalari’s dino forms, are exaggerated, imo.
I like it simple. And I feel HM Tauren have it worse. A cat with antlers…
Would not mind some customization for Boomkin, but I don’t mind them.
Something I’d add is increase the size of some forms. Make the Cat form look bigger and intimidating. Same with bear form. But not big enough to block LOS in pvp.
I sort of like them. Although I have never played a night elf druid (worgen druid forever!), I have seen them and I think that they are kind of cool. But I just want my god damned owl cat form already!
