Nice flee mechanics [bug]

Good to see there’s some quality bug and mechanic testing going on in the beta

No, this person did not submit a bug report because that’s not what he’s there for

Nice

This carebear forum obviously doesn’t allow clipping twitch clips, even though they show in the post preview while I’m making it

Which makes no sense at all, just like a mob that flees through 2 other mobs and doesn’t agro them

I could be wrong about this and if somebody can show proof of otherwise would be appreciated. Doesn’t mobs only aggro if the mob starts to return to attack you and other mobs are within its aggro range?

No you just arent allowed to post links without a certain amount of forum activity

No, humanoids aggro while fleeing outwards, and should stop running and return to you when they locate a friendly mob.

In that case, proper behavior should have been to agro that pack of 2 mobs and then return to you.

That does seem to make sense. My memory is just hazy when it came to the flee mechanic since it seems to have just completely disappeared with Wrath.

Sounds like stupid bs to me. I pay for the game just like everyone else.

This account has a sub history going back to vanilla. So I’m not sure what I need here. an account that predates the game itself?

Hey everybody! This guy played in vanilla!

Wow look at that no one cares.

The forum rules were changed to stop people from spamming links or posting something against tos.

Its not about age of account, its about how often you post and interact with posts.

which makes sense as to why that mechanic is behaving completely wrong, since the client is based off legion.

That flee behavior is completely off though. I noticed it immediately because I don’t play retail at all. The streamer didn’t say anything about it, neither did his chat.

Because he either didn’t think anything was off, or didn’t care because that’s not why he’s there. Or both

Actually Summit isn’t exactly a huge WoW player. He was mostly an FPS player who was at one point a pro with CS:GO. His involvement in the beta has more to do with how he can advertise to players outside of the general WoW audience.

Sounds like a bunch of dumb bs to me, meant to punish players who don’t pay for a subscription consistently.

I would post on the forum often if it didn’t require a subscription. But it does. If memory serves me correctly, posting here didn’t require an active sub.

Only reason my sub is active now is for a potential beta invite and posting rights, not to actually play this train wreck of a game.

And judging by the state of the beta, and the quality of the testers they currently have playing it, launch will probably be on par for retail

You are ignoring the fact that there are more players playing in Beta than just content creators. Bugs do get reported and I can guarantee that some people on the Dev team look over video of streamers to see if something is not working correctly. Just by playing and having information visually recorded is a method of reporting.

yeah cos only streamers are playing beta, salty much

just because you saw one person not report something doesn’t mean 100 others didn’t, get a reality check bud

Yet the bug still exists

No offense, but this thread reaks of entitlement and butthurt. Blizz has made a beta plan and the community fits in where needed. We established from the get-go that streamers were invited to hype the game and didnt expect much reporting to take place, im sure that was the intent. There are many others who are filling that gap.

Yup, bolts of lightning ar suppose to drop from the sky squashing the bug instantly when reported.

Dude. They changed the forum software last fall sometime. Before that, posts across all Blizzard games were counted as one account. I had close to 33,000 posts accumulated since the last forum redesign at the start of Cataclysm in late 2010. What happened last fall? Everybody, including me, had all posting history wiped clean. We all started at 0 – per character.

No one is being singled out. It’s meant to encourage active participation. And if you simply ask, there is even an easy way to post a link that can be cut and pasted.
