NFT's in games

I wouldn’t mind that a bit.

Sounds like I hit a nerve? Yes, I know so many invested in ‘crypto’… don’t like what I am saying. Well, we shall see where it goes-- only the Techno-Cryptocracy knows.

The beautiful part of a free world are options. People with more money than sense are free to squander said money on whatever they please.

What? Do you only use cash too?

Your comment literally only shows that you actually know nothing about how it works

Pretty sure thats what happened in 2016 70% the usa woke up like luke wilson.
Was waiting for wh speeches brought to you by zero gatoraid its got what plants crave!

Im so out of these terms with initials: what is a NFT?

This is the worst era to be a gamer-- mtx and loot boxes, now this NFT scam.

FFS I wish whales would stop buying into this so the vast majority of us didn’t have to deal with the shady crap these corporations are pulling.

This is cryptocurrency in general.

So, you know how you pay for real physical items, and you get to own it? If you get a receipt, you can prove that you paid for it. Basically this, but with digital items. Instead of a paper receipt, your purchase gets written to a blockchain.

Also, it’s the wild wild west, and people are clamoring to convert random digital items to NFT’s even before the actual creator/owner of the asset can (and in many cases, the actual owner never intended to use NFTs). It reminds me of when Gene Simmons registered the bag/dollar sign logo, which existed for ages, just because no one had done so previously.

No, I use a nice central authority payment processor that takes barely a few cpu cycles and almost no power to operate, called a credit card. Because I don’t want my transactions to take a few hours to process as thousands of GPUs whirl at full hash rate to validate my payment.

Enjoy losing your house as you pay for it using blockchain and think that gives you the deed.

Guess those little pixel art 100x100 icons you paid 200$ for each using your Ethereum will help make you feel better about it though.

I realize that some people who “play to have fun” and who currently form the majority of players have voiced their reservations toward these new trends, and understandably so. However, I believe that there will be a certain number of people whose motivation is to “play to contribute,” by which I mean to help make the game more exciting. -Yosuke Matsuda

And that right there is all the lay-man needs to know about NFT’s. It’s not about delivering to you a better product, it’s about convincing you to throw more money and stick with a product you aren’t enjoying because of fear of missing out or losing something which isn’t real.

Cryptobros will try convincing you that NFT’s is the digital equivalent to purchasing the Mona Lisa with Da Vinci’s irrefutable signature, but the reality is that it’s the barcode on the tacky Dogs Playing Poker print you bought at Walmart.

It’s like beanie babies, but digital, and more stupid. Just the latest craze going on and it will die in time.

Companies just joining the bandwagon to make…excuse me…suck more money out of the customer.

Worst part is, the more unethical the company or buyer, the more insane amounts of money will be made.

This is what corrupt ‘corporations’/lawyers do to those who create software programs or platforms not knowing they should have patented it, or if it was already patented… ‘intellectual property’… is this any different.
I understand ‘land, resources, and physical assests’ are being ‘tokenized’ claimed? too!..

wow will probably do nft stuff in a tab on the shop with cosmetics which kinda sucks, but the game kinda sucks too so that’s fitting. spectral tiger nft, bored murloc club etc…

put some money into xcad though asap not financial advice.

Aren’t the ‘quests’ we do now that you click on to ‘use’ equip’ and it dissolves… and NFT! Isn’t it? creepy stuff coming. Does it exist …or not?

Oh cool so you do support NFTS in video games at least
