Donā€™t need NFTs for that. NFTs are bad for the environment.

Since game makers control the database where this info is stored, they can just do a simple INSERT to make you ā€œownerā€ of the ā€œuniqueā€ pixels. No need to crunch math for hours and add to a digital ledger.

NFTs are if you have no central authority, so everyone uses a shared blockchain. Thereā€™s literally no reason outside of just hype and buzzwords to use blockchain when you have a central authority.

Think of it as a pet rockā€¦ but a DIGITAL pet rock.

Itā€™s bitcoin, but instead of a imaginary currency, you get an imaginary certificat of ownership to a bunch of pixels anyone can make exact copies of in an unlimited fashion.

AKA : a good way to part fools from their money.

Iā€™m no tech expert or investment expert but as of right now Iā€™d avoid them until a more secure reliable system is in place :man_shrugging:

How is exactly taking development away from the game good for the game?

Why do ppl who want to make a lot of money decide that Videos games is the best platform for it by not making good game ? These ppl are wasting their and our time, go away

I am not sure it would take away from the development of the game. I think it is more along the lines of

ā€œItā€™s simply an attempt to make easy money and take advantage of usersā€™ interest in the brand,

however, the more they can make money that way the less incentive there is to actually work at making a good game.

A virtual Ponzi scheme.

i was looking at one of these ā€˜artā€™ pixel nftā€™s the other day, the seller wanted the equivalent of $50,000 IRL dollars for it, i pressed print screen and got it for free. not that it was even worth the space on my hard disk.

NFTs are like cryptocurrency if you remove everything useful about them and then try to sell whatā€™s left as a product. Theyā€™re popular because some wrinkly brain scammaz artist managed to convince some smooth brains that nothing was worth something because ā€œbuzzwordā€.

ubisoft made $400 off their run of NFTsā€¦ thatā€™s $400 to much. Iā€™m convinced the ā€œartā€ NFTs are a money laundering scheme.

Gamers are upset that others have more disposable income, details at 11.

Thatā€™s what it boils down to, itā€™s all jealousy. Stop worrying about what others spend their money on.
