Next year Love sweeper will be Legacy item

So we can farm it in all our alts I suppose. It was bad Blizz didnt explain how that bad luck protection works. Blizz only said: ‘…and will see an increasing chance to drop with each new day that a first attempt is completed.’

Ive read people saying that if you completed in different alts your bad luck protection cant build up. So you only needed to do the kill with just 1 same char to be safe that your % of increasing chance is built up.

Others have mentioned using the 5 account method. Kill it solo with a level 11 char. And If your computer can handle it, you need to use free accounts to beef up the chances.

I say again Blizz should have clarified how this increased chance they mentioned would work. I didnt get the love sweeper and I did it all days but sometimes using diff chars doing the first kill of the day so Im worried if I did it wrong if my chances didnt build up after all.

They did clarify.

Don’t take anything more than what they have clarified.

What it boils down to:

  • Once a day for sweeper (rest make no difference)
  • Multiple times a day for the rocket, first attempt has the greatest chance.

Hopefully they remove it as a drop so people can feel a sense of accomplishment

Is there some post or news article I missed that says it’ll change?

I imagine they had a big smile when they typed that.

No but it should because it will not be a New drop in 2026.

No, it’s just OP’s wishful thinking.

It was a drop that was added with the new system, which is unlikely to change for next year.

Legacy here most likely means drop that existed before the once per day with BLP system that was added last summer, so the new broom will not become a legacy drop next year.

and just add everything from the event to the holiday vendor and make it all buyable with tokens from that event? Yes. For all holidays? Also yes.

Cause honestly? “players who enjoy running the content on multiple characters” have got to be few and far between, especially with all these stale holiday events we’ve been doing for years that never quite change but just add a thing or two maybe once of the two times it’s up every expansion.

But new players can get the thing right out of the gate and I spent many years getting the thing!

So? New players might stick around if they can actually get the thing instead of spending 15 years on ATTEMPTS to get the thing like we did. Older players who still don’t have the thing, can actually get the thing too, instead of spending an entire day sitting in queues on 20+ characters for the 16th year in row.

But I don’t want others to have my thing because I am unique with the thing!

Always remember, you’re unique… just like everyone else.

But I still have to farm the holiday currency to buy it from a vendor!

Holiday events are rarely up for less than two weeks and they all have multiple ways of getting currency. If Blizzard keeps changing all the currencies to warbound it simplifies this even more.

Ok, but if everyone has it now why would anyone want it?

Everyone already has the same access to everything still existing in this game as everyone else. You’ll still go after the things you want and I’ll still go after the things I want. Every now and then, we’ll want the same things, and that’s ok :ok_hand:

Nah

Sense of accomplishment

They could have made it cost a fortune in tokens and we’d still have legitimate ways to acquire it from grinding. Give us more control over acquiring holiday rewards and boost our participation at the same. People would be running the questline (including the dungeon at the end) like crazy. It’s a win-win.

I’m not sure what “new drop” has to do with anything.

That’s what I assumed. But I do hate that they don’t tell us this stuff. The lack of transparency on the simplest things astounds me.

  • New drops, such as the Love Witch’s Sweeper, can only drop on your first attempt of the day (WoW account-wide), and will see an increasing chance to drop with each new day that a first attempt is completed.

They clearly made a difference about calling them Legacy Items or New drops.
Love sweeper will not be a New drop next year so they should add it to Legacy then.

Ummm they re clarify this every year the last few years.
