Here is the timeline
We are currently in patch 11.1.5. There are two more features we’re waiting on for this patch: turbo boost (next reset) and horrific visions (the following reset).
Patch 11.1.7 is scheduled to release June 17th. That patch has scheduled events to July 1st.
After this they will announce when the next expansion will be arriving.
They have stated that there will be a 11.2 that has Season 3 and a new raid. They are planning 11.2.5 and 11.2.7 patches. They have this pegged under “Autumn”.
They have a new game mode, like pluderstorm, but is like a “scary story” in an unspecified “future patch”. This is probably the flag the have in “winter” on the timeline. But it could be something housing related.
Then they would still need to do beta.
Unless they do something unexpected, like closed, internal-only beta I don’t think the next expansion will come out this year.

I remember DF and TWW being out for like a year for prepurchase before they went live.
