What would you like to see included in the next Wow expansion?

Next expansion is so far off my dude. We’ve got 10.1.5 which is bringing a mega-dungeon likely a patch island, we’ve got 10.1.7 bringing some kind of unknown content system and likely a patch island, we’ve got 10.2 which is likely a “mini-expansion” with multiple new zones, a raid, and maybe even new zones, we’ve got 10.2.5 which is likely bringing big QoL improvements and potentially some systems with it, we’ll get 10.2.7 which will be a wild experiment with their existing raids and dungeons…

There’s just so much in the meanwhile that I can’t really think about the next expansion from a features point of view. Lore-wise, sure, I have some desires but honestly WoW is kind of a gameplay-first type of game so gameplay and gameplay features dictate where we should or shouldn’t go next more than anything else.

Ethereals as a playable race
Technomancer is a new class with all 3 roles
Focus on class fantasy, cosmic lore (light, void, and arcane specifically)

I’d love to see us find ruins of the Black Empire and learn why the Titans wanted to conceal any and all advancements by them. Find the true story on them out and all that. Never trusted the Titans but now after my ‘crazy’ theory being confirmed 17 years later, I want to know the full story.

Azeroth is a First One I’m sure.

The return of class fantasy would be amazing. It does bug me that a 6 year old expansion is the peak of WoW from a flavor point of view and it isn’t even close. I’d love to see a big emphasis on class again in an expansion that isn’t bogged down by legendary and artifact power grinds.

wod was announced in 2013, released in 2014
legion was announced in 2015, released in 2016
bfa was announced in 2017, and released in 2018
SL was announced in 2019 and released in 2020
df was announced 2022 because covid delayed things, and released in 2022.

they are pumping stuff now like before. 11.0 will be announced later this year for sure.

For Blizzard to get the heck outta people’s way and make flexible game systems. Not everything has to be a big clunky dumpster fire full of angry people. They can pull off making a few game systems play well.

I hope the continent they’re alluding to is truly large and not like another island. It’d also be nice if that continent was Australian themed.

Edit I realize Australia is just a huge island but you know what I mean

I’d love to see…

Player and guild housing (with a quest to unlock a portal or two of your choice, and a profession workbench of your choice and a stable that gives your mounts a very minor speed increase from being rested)

Professions revamped (less tiers, less RNG, NO gating, restoration and expansion of archeology, new profession carpentry)

Much more love to the pvp community (badges and not random loot so people can work toward what they want, also new battlegrounds with fresh ideas)

Solo dungeons where your teammates have to be collected, leveled and geared by you.

Revamp of old world with a few world quests (that scale) opening up in old zones.

That’s just the tippy top of the iceburg really, I could go on forever…

Not making the expansion story complicated like BfA and Shadowlands. :dracthyr_sweat:

Dragonflight still has that chance as the Primalists and Incarnates have some vague reason to exist as the antagonists.

Legion was freaking awesome from that viewpoint.

Best they’ve done when it comes to class fantasy, it’s not even close.

It’s where my alt fetish was born. I still need to finish off some class campaigns/sets/mounts.

I also think Legion has some of the best mogs in the game for a lot of classes. Not just the weapons either, ToS sets particularly are pretty droolworthy imo.

So I’m going to agree on this… Bring back class halls, or make them relevant again… evergreen even, constantly giving us new content for the current relevant patch respectively.

It’d be nice to make the class feel special again, who plays a particular role in the events to come.

I’d prefer an “at home” expansion but if they really need new zones then I would want them to create a full new continent meant to be explored over the course of multiple expansions. Have some sort of mistwall or anti-air systems in place to prevent players access to the not yet developed areas.

I want an Inquisition. Then it must cleanse the vermintide that is the Vulpera. That is all.
