I’m assuming mop remix is a success, so if/when they do it again that begs the question of what xpac they should do. I have heard a lot of people say burning crusade, but I think that is too far back in time. I think legion remix would be perfect next time around. Legion will be 9~ years old at least depending on when they do timerunning again and it would be a much better xpac to remix than burning crusade or any other. (plus we had bc and wrath and now cata classic for the past few years for people to play through, it makes more sense to go to legion. WoD was an incomplete xpac and wont have enough content so they can skip it lol.)
Nah WoD has enough for a Remix, and would be a fantastic choice for it.
Especially if they went and added in some of the stuff that got cut when they hamstrung its development.
I strongly suspect it’ll be up next. Legion will be neat too but it can wait in line.
Legion would be neat. Heh, could even have the Evokers hang out with the Infinite Dragonflight for their order hall or something.
Almost positive most people would want WoD remix so they can get the heirloom trinkets.
The majority of time in MoP remix is dungeons and raids. WoD had those. Plus it had a huge amount of transmogs that were never made available to players.
Long as DH doesn’t get to be OP and breaking stuff again I don’t care what expansion the remix is in next but I’d imagine remix Legion would be hell for them given so many order halls in areas outside broken shores. Like paladins in plaguelands, priests are in space, Warlocks got their own space location too, Shamans are at the maelstrom, lot of the order halls are in some spot in space I’m realizing now and they tried so very hard to force people to stay in pandaria as is despite the war story in Mists taking you to Dalaran, and several other areas outside pandaria
I can’t believe Legion was only two expansions after Mists. In my memory they feel like they’re a decade apart, I still remember Legion like it was yesterday.
WoD is the logical choice for the next Remix; putting aside the sequencing of it, it’s principal complaints were a lack of flying and content droughts, both of which would be solved within the 90 day remix window.
Legion would also be good, but it would require a fair number of considerations:
- The artifacts would need to be able to be activated; our relationship with these weapons is what made that expansion so good.
- The Evokers don’t actually have any content due to them not existing likely as even a concept at this juncture, so they’d have to put something together for them which is a lot of time and resources dedicated to a side project that could be utilized for mainline content.
WoD remix first then Legion remix
I hope if they do future remixes they add in weapon caches like we have gear ensembles.
It’s entirely possible since pvp has them for every previous expansion. Wouldn’t be hard to make world/dungeons/raid tier caches.
Could also make up for a lack raids in WoD, since it only had 3 raids in comparison to 5 in MoP, Legion and BfA.
Wrath Remix: because of TLPD and BPD.
At 1st, I wasn’t interest of this “remix” but I was bored and wanted see what is the fuss about and I just fell in love with it.
It is 10/10.
It really is hard to not like Remix; the system is set up in a way to let players get ridiculously strong, run as many raids as they please and collect buttloads of stuff… much of which we can’t even get nowadays.
I’d love to get TLPD like I could with remix.
I’d probably love seeing the forum rage even more. People cried over farmable mounts being made easily available - could you imagine the amount of pure bile, vitriol, and SALT that’d come from that?
Personally I’d pick Burning Crusade, Legion and Wrath so I’m kind of mixed bag but I also like collecting mounts, pets, toys, outfits, etc. so any of them would work for me as long as there’s lots of goodies.
I doubt we’ll get another Remix like Mists of Pandaria, and that has to do with MoP’s unique position of being the turning point before expansion-wide systems were introduced.
Mists of Pandaria is the most modern version of “the vanilla experience” retail has since after MoP we got WoD, which had the garrison. Regardless of people’s experience of it, that was an expansion long system that was supposed to tie things together. It failed to do so but it makes MoP’s position as the most newest vanilla-esque content WoW has in retail.
Will they touch on Legion and probably BFA in a couple of years? Probably.
But a “Remix”? That’s unlikely, because we do have account-wide systems that are specifically tied to our accounts and not characters. Mists didn’t have that, so a Legion “Remix” would likely play MASSIVELY different from both Legion and a Remix.
So they’d probably do something else with that if they choose to continue with it, which… I kinda doubt.
More likely they didn’t want to do a Classic version of Mists of Pandaria but still wanted to keep going with additional content and keep exploring old expansions. So… if one can think of an interesting way that ties the expansion-wide systems of Legions, then one can probably think of something that they’ll do with Legion or WoD.
Maybe a WoD remix will be really weird in allowing us to put down settlements anywhere? Extremely unlikely, but the point of these side projects and activities is to be creative in what they allow us to explore. So maybe they’ll do something like that? Folks have talked about player housing endlessly for years, maybe they’ll want to explore a WoD Remix where they allow us to change things up with the garrison further making it closer to what folks wanted.
Be creative in these projects. Those creative ideas are far more likely than just carbon copies for these kinds of side-projects (and heck it might actually be more interesting and better feedback that they actually have an interest in reading).
I would love a Legion Remix! It had some really fun content, lots of really good mogs. It would be great for a Remix, imo.
Legion remix with obtainable og Mage Tower skins on my main/retail account… hnnnnnng
I would be all over that
They won’t do it. They didn’t bring the Challenge Mode Sets, or AoTC mount for Mists Remix.
