Next Season of WoW Classic

But introduce the servers with a level 20 level cap.

After 90 days, increase the cap to 40, then after an additional 90 days, increase it to 60.

Or like 10 levels per month or something.

I don’t think people will play this but I would : ) maybe level cap should be 30 days max though

i think 90 days might be a little too long, i think 30 or 60 is a good number but people also level so fast it will just make people mad

I kinda like this idea. People would actually play the game instead of try and prove to their parents they are winners

The seasonal concept being borrowed from Diablo is interesting but is missing a core element from Diablo 3 that makes seasons bearable: Adventure Mode (Bounties and Rifts). Being first to grind to max level at the start of a season is nice and all (Diablo 2 seasons), but the gameplay of enduring the entire campaign each time can be tiresome.

Most D3 seasons start with some folks hitting 70 within an hour or so. Then they start power leveling the community to get to 70. Then, the real race is off to see who can achieve the highest Greater Rift level (personal/team) by the end of the season. Each season usually introduces some class changes and some mechanical/environmental gimmick to spice up the RNG.

If the goal of SOM is to be raid focused, 1-60 should be expedited significantly, and raid drops/materials should be easily farmable.

If the goal of SOM is to focus on the path to 60, then raids should not even be a focus. Focus solely on overworld content and instanced dungeons.

I’m down. Let’s do this.

Lowbie pvp will be epic. How about 1-29, 29-49, 49-60

Season of War

Genius, pure genius. Blizzard should hire you guys.

Limit 1 character per realm.

Remove battleground reputation and rank and replace it with the TBC honor point and mark system.

That way if you want to twink out your character between level cap shifts, you could get PvP gear at those thresholds around looking for the best dungeon blues you can find.

WSG weapons, rings, and trinkets, AB boots/belt, Sergent’s cloak etc.

And then at 60 cap, require players to purchase the pvp set in the order that you would’ve achieved it with rank in the prior system; and award titles for players who attain those items.

I.E. – you can’t purchase champ set legs/chest/helm/shoulder until you’ve purchased the gloves/boots, at which point you attain the title and rank of Blood Guard or Knight.

That way people who want to PvP at 60 can progress their characters at the comfort of their own pace, without having to worry about weekly decay and a competitive ladder.

P.S. implement a solo queue for battlegrounds; limit consumable usage to only allow potions purchased from the PvP vendor in Orgrimmar/Stormwind. (No non-equippable engineering gimmicks.)

In essence, no sapper charges, no free action pots.

still needs ffa

I quietly contemplated this in my head. It would only fly on the pure PVP servers, so lets assume this “Season” would be exclusive to PVP servers and run alongside a PVE-friendly season on the normal realms.

On the PVP one, I’d love to see something like a permanent war mode enabled. Not really Red vs Blue. Everyone from Horde and Alliance races are neutral with everyone. Players then select a fictional faction from a good amount of options, or perhaps by guild affiliation whose guild allies with one of those factions. There you could have both FFA and faction based PVP. The extra layer of fictional factions honestly isn’t necessary, and it could be peeled back to just being guilds vs guilds vs unguilded.

Some mechanisms would need to be in place to prevent guild hopping and abusive guild control power. Though, all that sounds like too much engineering power. So, good old FFA if possible would still suit just fine for an experiment.

Nope.
That’s why I’ve suggested Season of Survival. Anybody can be killed. It would certainly promote community and working together on all servers.

Now you’re thinking survival. It’s a damn shame that Blizz can’t be this creative.

OR if a bunch of sub factions is too much, simplify it, add scourge and legion, hecc add scarlet crusade and argent dawn, and i know it would be asking too much but add lvl 60 sets for each, i thin itd be pretty dope if a member of the scourge faction at 60 in a full pvp set just looked like a scourge member, or a legion member had some demonic armor etc
