They probably updated it because no one knew what it was meant to mean.

none of these are fun when you’re using the current game classes changes lol. ill wait for classic.
Optics are everything. Quite frankly, I’m glad they changed it. That’s…not something you ever want to be even remotely related to. I don’t think it was intentional on Blizzard’s part though. Heck, I didn’t even know what it meant until someone else pointed it out. Either way, the change itself is a nothingburger.

I am unable to share sources at the moment (not high enough with my trust level), but a quick search through a search engine yields a symbol nearly identical to this one and multiple articles/youtube videos discussing it.

I’m not going to believe you unless it’s something from a reputable source.
It’s an incredibly sensitive subject so I’d be hesitant to link this stuff anyway. In the time it takes waiting for me to provide a source, you could have found it by now.

I found a couple articles referencing the document from a google image search.
Seems legit, at least as far as I’m interested in digging into it.
WoD is my second favourite expansion. Vanilla edges it out because of the experience of playing for the first time.
I would love a remix, but wondering if that might dilute a Classic playthrough of WoD.
I couldn’t stop playing WoD, so maybe it won’t matter.

I would love it if WoD Remix came out before Legion.
As a remix, WoD is perfect and what it has is super good. Hopefully Blizzard has learned its lesson and brings back the Legendary Ring questline!
When they bring back cut content, I’ll do a somersault for joy, but it’ll hurt.
They didn’t bring back the legendary cloak quests for MoP Remix, but they did allow people to get the transmog, albeit under a different name. The ring quest would probably be a bit of a waste of time.
This is very important to the story and therefore not a waste of time!
Bellular talked about it on his stream. I looked into a bit, and it’s wild-- “Midnight Blizzard” is the name of Russia’s cyberattack attack department, they even use the same logo that Blizzard was using for player housing, and have been around since before TWW launched.

People saying “but WoD had fel in it too” are kidding themselves. While WoD did have a bit of fel, most of it was axed towards the end. When you think of fel, you don’t think WoD. You think Legion. It’s Legion remix.
