Next raid after Castle Narnia

Do you think it’ll be about the JAILER? Or will the JAILER appear in the final raid? Or would that be Sylvanius?

Do you think the JAILER is going to be dumb? I am getting that feeling.

Probably going to be a raid in each zone.

My money is on something in Ardenweald, as it’s been fairly removed from the main narrative so far.

Probably going to get a Torghast Raid.

Haha, well even if we knew it was Ardenweald, that still wouldn’t narrow things down all that much because Ardenweald was off on its own with like 17 different barely related plot points.

I’d guess the likeliest scenario is a reckoning with Kel’thuzad.

If that’s the case, that’s pretty boring.

The story is kinda open at this point. They kinda setup a Kel’thuzad Raid but… that would probably be in the Maw which I think they want to save for the end.

They had their chance at a duel Kel’thuzad launch with Naxx/SL and they ruined it though!

I think we will get a new zone and new instances with it instead.

Why Kelthuzad and not the JAILER? Or do you think Kelthuzard is the JAILER? And do you think the JAILER is dumb? I do.

Well, if it’s Narnia. Maybe the next will be inside a Maldraxxian wardrobe.

The jailer is already stupid, so that’s a pointless question. If there was any scrap of talent left in Blizzard’s ‘writing’ department, they left a loooooong time ago with what’s limping onto the stage as ‘Lore’.

As a joke, I would say new Naxxramas.

No, Kel’thuzad isn’t the Jailer. He’s yet another pawn in the Jailer’s plans.

As for why not the Jailer… well, basically it’s too soon to face the (so far) main villain of the story in 9.1. This is supposed to be a being with most of the anima of the Shadowlands and who knows what kind of other weapons and power he has access to.

We’d have to (logically) engage his army and chief lieutenants and find a lead on how to kill him before we fight him directly, and they can’t do all of that in 1 patch.

I believe it’s spelled “Newxramas”.

They could license Bugs Bunny as a final raid boss and it would probably make about as much sense as the JAILER idea.

My money is on 9.1 having two patch islands, Thros and wherever the Brokers come from. Thros-themed seasonal affix and raid, as well as a new two-part Mega-Dungeon revolving around the Brokers and their fantastical treasures and creatures from all the realms of reality.

I’m hoping we get to fight HELYA before the JAILER.

That’d be nice. Hopefully the Brokers come from a… how do I put this, less bland place than the current Shadowlands zones.

I’d love to see the Brokers either coming from a place a bit silly and unusual, or, failing that, some kind of quirky eldritch horror factory. Like something out of a Steven King novel as told by Monty Python.

Just, anything with some personality over the current zones. Humor, darkness, something memorable. It should really feel alien to us, wherever beings like that are from.

We’ve got basically three main narratives set up.

First is the Drust. We beat their leader, but we didn’t actually solve the reason of why they’re doing whatever the hell they’re doing.

Second is the Jailers Covenant underlings in Kel’thuzad and Lysonia or however you spell her name. We foiled their plans in Bastion and Maldraxxus, but they’re not done.

Third is the Cartel. Ven’ari explicitly tells us not to trust them and we could have a raid figuring out why.

And some Scourgestones! Hope you’ve been keeping your Argent Dawn rep up.

If history of past expansions proves true, it’s going to be Thunder Bluff. They love attacking horde cities in raids and that’s one of the few they haven’t gone into.

Speaking of the WOW story, what ever happened to that big sword in Silithious? Did that stop being a problem? Did the axis of Azeroths poles shift or any issues with the ozone layer?
