So I bought a used laptop and this thing runs WoW great. I get 300+ FPS with max settings minus shadows and 170 FPS with everything maxed.

The problem is when I hook up my monitor (60 hz) to the laptop (120hz) I sometimes get a huge delay when pressing keys.

I set my max FPS to 60. I’m not sure if I should just uncapped it set a higher cap. If I unplug my monitor and use the laptop display there isn’t any key stroke lag.

Any idea what can be the issue? What should I set my settings too? Could it be the hdmi port/cable?

Not to sure if this would help or if you can on that laptop try setting your laptops refresh rate to 60hz in windows display settings

is it delay in windows recognizing the key press, or the game casting the spell you told it to cast?
