What do you all think the next expansion is going to be based around? I hope it’s original but somehow I feel a Return of the Lich King coming. It wouldn’t be a bad thing, necessarily, it would give Blizz a really good way of introducing San’layn. I’m curious what you all think though :thinking:

Bolvar did seem pretty upset when we went to question him. Lich King 2.0 could happen.

We get to fight N’zoth on the other side of Azeroth.

Probably really bad game design.

I want them to have a win, but they still seem clueless based upon blue posts where removing utility portals will “Make the world seem larger!” No, it will make those flights seem incredibly long. People will be AFK for longer.

It will likely be Void themed. I do believe that Death and Undeath are going to play a very big role however. So, Bolvar will likely be a major player.

Unless we plow through the Void stuff at the tail end of BFA, which would be a colossal mistake on their part.

Somehow thats what I was thinking was going to happen. We’re supposedly going to Naz’jatar right? Well I’m pretty sure that Azshara isn’t going to be the final boss of BFA. This whole Naga thing seems like a tangent to me too, anyway, that doesn’t really feel like it belongs. I guess I’m really curious how this expansion is going to play out, especially since it feels like so many people are already over it :laughing:

Queen Azshara will be the end boss of BfA, but after she is defeated she will either A) raise Ny’alotha to the surface and we will fight N’Zoth and Old God forces. B) We kill Azshara and after Sylvanas steps in declaring her legionce to N’Zoth only to use Xal’atath to seal him away and then raises Ny’alotha claiming it as her new empire, which we then have to fight her and Old God forces.

What do you all think the next expansion is going to be based around?
As stated above, unless the void is resolved at the end of this expac it will undoubtedly be voids. New Allied race, events of Before the Storm, Bolvar during Legion, too many things are working their way towards that. Plus the Void Lords are truly the ultimate enemy.

I completely feel the same way, except that something tells me (despite the fact that it is common knowledge that the next expac is well underway already) that retconning or retrostory is going to be based a lot on how Classic truly performs. Anyone who doesn’t see Classic as a gateway drug into wow2 or big reset button to franchise is delusional.

I think they are scrambling for ideas, and big bold and wild comes to mind. I think that the fact that there are now “undead” born of Light is something really worth exploring. The fate of the forsaken has been in check for far too long. 3rd faction, deserter concept or non-declared would be a phenomenal change to the game.

I think a return to Northrend would be cool, but instead of Bolvar going rabid I would like to see Sylvannas cause some sort of disruption in the status quo there.

Maybe have her end up trying to wrest control over the undead from him.

I’m guessing Kel’Thuzad named Sylvanas Warchief, and Uther was the one who brought Vol’jin back.

Next expansion will bring us to the Dragon Isles where the Scourge will be staging assaults against the remaining Dragon Aspects.

Hopefully they’ll keep all of the code from WotLK and just reskin it so that we get a good expansion.

Depends on what Azshara and N’Zoth will do, if they open up a rift into the void then next expansion will be Void theme. If we only kill Azshara in this expansion then I guess next expansion will be time traveling back in time, I don’t know, something like Warlords Of The Black Empire…or something.

Since we all get to secretly choose to join or not join N’Zoth, we will start our own new faction! The Twilight Hammer! We will learn we were all wrong for having killed Deathwing and Cho’gall. We help N’Zoth defeat the Lich King and learn that the hungering void ain’t so bad.

We Rez deathwing through the help of N’Zoth and Deathwing will choose to be the jailer of damned once the bolvar kicks the bucket.

The end.

Id love the San’layn <3. But Idk, all this expansions have been… you know like mirrors of old expansions and lore (TBC/Legion) (W2-3/BfA Arthas in quelthalas/ sylvanas in teldrassil) (W1/ WoD) (MoP garrosh/ Bfa Sylvanas) nothing seems to be really new now…

Could care less about a next expansion. I have moved on from WoW to FF14 a much better game now.

Honestly at this point I would just like to see a conclusion to the faction War. And I mean a REAL conclusion
