Next 2 Allied Race Speculation

I have a feeling that the next two allied races will be something between the undead and worgen. So I am guessing Alliance will probably get Night Elf Worgen, and Horde will get Lightforged Undead.

While not my first choice of an allied race, I think this is the next logical step for 2 allied races, to move forward with the story of Teldrassil burning down. My personal choice of Allied race, would be a Man’ari Eredar.

There is no more allied race slots, plus those four datamined allied race ids are of races that don’t have any specific connection or share traits specifically with worgen. So at this point the idea of allied race slots and races needing to be a certain variation of an existing race is abolished. This is frankly good news for all AR communities and fanbases.

In this picture, I see room for (at the very least) 2 allied race slots.

I don’t see it happening for a while, but I would love to see Ogres, Man’ari, Mogu or Surrok.

me too.

But I’d be perturbed if they took up an allied race slot.

There is no slots though anymore. Just racial icons. They could add dozens of races and still have plenty of room on that screen.

Alliance get Sethrak. Horde get Skeletons.

Worgen and Kul’Tiran aren’t in the picture.

Sure.

I’m just going by the pattern in the picture you posted.

There’s room just below the Vulpera slot on one side and the Mechagnome on the other.

Two new circles could be added without ruining the pattern.

Gnomest agrees with you there. They’re just saying that the next Allied Races don’t have to be only two or follow some sort of pattern.

im sorry :frowning:

I highly doubt that the next Allied Races will be in a wave of two, or even related to the Undead or Worgen.

In all likelihood, if we do get ANYTHING in Shadowlands, they’ll be the Covenant Races.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the new character creation screen?

Such an improvement!

Precisely!

They’ve gone too far with Allied races. We need to slow down on that. With that said, I think there is one race still ‘owed’ to each faction:

  • Ogres for Horde: We’ve flooded the Horde with enough Elves and cutsey races, and we need to go back to its strong, savage, roots.

  • High Elves for Alliance: Not just customization options for Void Elves, but an actual race with its own starting area and its own racials.
