I’ve been working a lot an just this week had to get laid off due to covid I decided to check out wow again and got here with just over 1 day left on the rep buff, since I’ve got here I lvled my old toon and have been rushing to work as fast as i can to unlock kul tirans for an allied race as i wanna make my new main then. Honestly if there was any way to get this buff back of even just to scrape off some of the time needed to get so many valuable things. I know you’ve done some nice things like it in the past and that I’m late to the party but i just wanted to give my two cents on it. If you did i would gladly pre order shadowlands on the spot. Right now though I feel like I’m just sitting waiting and hoping for more world quests or an emissary for proudmoore to come up but its still looking like at least a week or more of me having to wait and farm world quests just to start making the new toon I want to play.
Either way I’m going to keep going and am excited to start playing next week on it hopefully but I just feel like I really missed out and came back at the wrong time and now with work over for a while I have nothing to do and just keep listening to people telling other not to ask or complain i get it they warned us, but also I’m a customer, this here is just feedback. right now it’s hard to jump on to play, a grind each time on a character i don’t even like but it will take much much longer on any other too so I’m stuck to it. I’m really grateful for your time if you read this and if by some small chance this comes back, even for another small chunk of time I would be so excited thanks again

Just to be sure…have you also finished the Pride of Kul Tiras questline? The one where you have to go through four dungeons to complete? It’s required for Kul Tirans, and even though there is no equivalent time onerous questline for Zandalari Trolls for Horde, it ISN’T a sign of horde bias…
It doesn’t help with the rep for some stupid reason but it is required for the unlock.
Also…run around Tiragarde Sound and make sure you’ve done the side groupings of quests that aren’t main line, they do have a decent amount of rep in them.

yeah I have Every thing else done and checked for all side quests I’m just over 8000 rep left to grind out now but that’s all that is left, I’ve been working on pathfinder while I wait and have this toon as a human for more rep too 
Ouch. At least you are in line to get it as soon as that rep is done then. I came back at the beginning of the expired rep bonus and boosted a human hunter to 120 to grind rep…took about 2 weeks to get all of the alliance allied races unlocked along with pathfinder for BfA. That includes less than 48 hours to unlock the LF Draenei and the Void Elves, holy crap that goes quick on that event.
Adding my voice to the call to extend the reputation buff til the new expac arrives…it was the only reason I’ve been logging in consistently lately!

The extra rep is what is needed to help fast track people before the expansion. Taking it away is a slap in the face for the people who came back or are new or that were working on other characters at the time.

Let me guess… You also hate all the catch up mechanics they add for things like the heart and cloak?
Oh but let essence for alts or even new players stay locked away to where they won’t even bother with the rep grind

Catch up doesn’t bother me one bit, infact I expect people to do 8.3 content without an excuse why they couldn’t due to the buff
Then catch up on rep should be allowed as well at the end of an expansion. Especially when you have key traits for your classes locked behind them

I agree… for new players (and some of us leveling new alts), having powerful essences locked behind sometimes exhaustive rep grinds can be tedious. And yes, the Echos of Nya’lotha help IF you have a character who has already earned Rank 3 essences, but not new characters or people choosing to level a new toon without a well-developed main. If we want to implement catch-up mechanics, I’d rather see it be full-scale.
The bonus XP is great for leveling alts and getting heritage armor, but let’s be honest - the most important perk to many players is probably the rep gain because that allows us to play the end-game more completely.

There ain’t no question about it: the Rep Buff was fancied by many. Bring that back, and you’ll get yourself mickles of players binging on WQs. Accordingly, the World Zones will be populated with Alliance and Horde players, which begets more PvP, people meeting others and making new friends, and overall imparts a clear impression that the world isn’t so… desolate.
Needless to say, the Rep Buff is a good deal, for old players and new ones alike. Blizz can only benefit from that. Videlicet, more subscriptions, I daresay.
Think what you will, but that’s where I stand.

I don’t even feel like doing the emissary now with the original crappy low rep. Too bad I need the echoes. Otherwise it would’ve been one less daily chore.
