I joined this channel in good faith that I was going to help new players and I’ve tried. I’ve played since 04, I was a hardcore raider in BC and grew to a mythic raider by BfA and I’ve been a competitive pvp’er since I started defending the Crossroads in vanilla all the way till now as a multi duelist. I enjoy helping people more than I enjoy competitive play and now that i am growing older I have tried to shift towards that. So I started reaching out and helping players through newcomer chat; at first I really enjoyed it. I was talking to new players and it was refreshing helping people who just want to get into the game and play and are as enamored with it as I was so many years ago but lately anytime I say anything in newcomer chat that doesn’t have exclamation points or smiley faces I am reamed by other “guides” for being either toxic or they claim whatever I say, whether it’s an opinion or experience, is wrong and threaten me for social contract breach even though I’m not saying anything wrong or talking down to anyone. I am either speaking from experience or facts that I know and I am consistently getting dragged for it like I’m in a toxic Facebook group by people who seem to prefer using it as some sort of attention channel instead of actually providing good advice or help. I’m not interested in arguing with the “guides” nor do I think I’m some sort of superior voice, I am genuinely frustrated because I feel like I can’t help new players.
this paragraph needs work.
I actually didn’t use paragraphs, I’m sure your 41k posts are equally as useful

Paragraphs are helpful to break up the wall of text for ease of reading. It helps you to get your thoughts seen and heard.
Yes, Newcomer chat does have issues. If people are going against CoC, please report, ignore and don’t engage. If new players are receptive to you, then that’s all that matters. If you’re falsely reported, nothing happens to you.
But from how you just engaged here… I’m given to wonder who the problem actually is. Spoiler alert: it might be you.
Ok thanks for your input
