I logged in today and it seems to be gone?
Newcomer chat is available until you have a character who has hit level 70, and you have played 40 hours total.
It seems like you’ve graduated.
I think it would be good to make it longer, since the first time you hit max level - currently 80 - is probably the most confusing time in the game. But level 70 it is.
This is my I think 3rd day playing. I don’t think I’ve hit near 40 hours played and I hit level 70 yesterday/late last night
My bad. I should have said Level 70 OR 40 hours. The 40 hours is so that twinks and free players drop out of Newcomer Chat eventually.
How do I tell how many hours I played? From my discord recently played it should only be like 10-12 hours
You can type /played into the chat on each of your characters.
But if you have hit 70 on one character, that is enough to put you out of Newcomer Chat, regardless of hours.
That seems very poorly thought out between how fast leveling seems to be in this game. Suddenly because I hit level 70 I have no way to ask questions or get help in game in real time. The game doesn’t even tell me it removed me from the channel or give me any information.

This is true. Which is why I mentioned that sometime after 80 would be more appropriate. You will undertstand that better once you hit 80 yourself and try to figure out what’s going on.
However, there is a HUGE amount of halp available on the web, on Reddit, on YouTube, on WoW sites like Wowhead and Icy-Veins, and in Discords like Wownoob. You will learn some of these as you go, and as you look up information.
