If all I want out of tailoring is to make bags, how easy is it to get the recipes for 30-slot bags? Is it worth using a boost to 110 to do this?
This is just my own opinion crafting professions suck worse than ever.
If you just want 30 slot bags and not 32 slot bags go for it unless you plan on doing mythic dungeons for the soulbound item required to make the 32 slot bags.
If you plan on doing it on the shaman you posted on that is already 106…don’t boost it…you are only 4 levels away from 110.
If you are thinking of boosting another toon…honestly only you can decide if it is worth it to you…to me it would not be since legion tailoring also makes 30 slot bags.
This would be on a different character, who’s currently level 10.
You can also make 30 slot Hexweave bags in WoD.
Need level 2 tailor shop and a barn and can produce a bag every 2.5-3 days but you have to wit for the right vendor to appear i your garrison to get the better hexweave recipes,
Tailoring is one of the easier professions to level up. Can train 1-300 classic just by making bandages and can get 50-70% of the skill up points for many expansions just with bandages.
Cloth is pretty cheap now that other people can’t use it for bandages.
Garrison hexweave bag crafting:
*sumptuous fur at your tailoring shack using workorders (use a tailoring follower and pick up as needed - or when you passed through due to using the garrison hearth to get to the portals).
*sumptuous fur either comes from the barn or trading post (barn you need to trap wolves and do work orders, trading post you need to buy it when the 16 garrison resources per fur vendor comes up - this is best combined with picking your herb garden and running the work orders)
*you need earth for the bags also, which is doing the missions for the orb things that you trade in for the earth at the trader outside your mission hall (unless this is a character that you played in WoD and you still have a backlog of them)
This results is a steady supply of bags (although not fast) for alts and for sale on AH (they sell… they are the easiest bags to produce, still). I have my handy bank in garrison still and run work orders from the supply of broken bones from Ashran (a random epic battleground daily is enough to keep the arena running).
Can also trap Talbruk. Quite easy to trap 100 in an hour or less by trapping areas north or east of the Ring of Trials in eastern Nagrand. Good respawn rate and they don’t try to eat you on sight.
100 will keep you in work orders for about a week.
