Newb to Healbot Question

Friend got me to try holy priest and shared his healbot skin to me. I could not see the bars well at all and so I adjusted opacities until I could. Now I can’t tell if people are out of range. I think it has to do with the opacity of my background bar being 100%. I was using it to display role color. Would it work to set background border to role color and reduce background bar opacity to 0%? Reduce out of range opacity from 22% to zero percent? Something else? Is there some way to make the health bars show health percentage as something other than text or just changing color? Like bar width diminishes with health percentage? Thanks in advance.

I prefer vuh do myself. I found healbot to be a little too extensive* for me. Vuh do works well out of the box. I’m sure you might get better advice by someone that has more experience with healbot though.

I know what you mean by the bar. It’s why I don’t use it, couldn’t be bothered customizing it when I can use vuh do with minimal customization.

Healbot 101: Don’t use Healbot.

I can’t give you any advice on healbot specifically, sorry, but I would say that it’s probably not a good idea to set out-of-range opacity to 0%. It might cause unintended click-through behavior, and it will most likely cause you to lose track of their status completely (debuffs and health totals). Also, just in general, you should probably only have bar opacity tied to one thing so that there aren’t any conflicts like what you described.
